A Cake For a Special Couple?

What do teen boys and Navy Sailors 'on-leave' really want?

This is the truth of the matter!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Researchers said the findings show that teenage boys really are motivated by love and a desire for meaningful relationships.

But many people still don’t buy it, including, it seems, many former teenage boys.

“Based on my past experience as a teenage boy, this study just reinforces my view that teenage boys are horny liars,” wrote John, one of about 170 people who submitted comments about the study to The Times’s Well blog last week.

“Yeah right! 16-year-old boys are concerned about relationships?” scoffed Brian, another reader, who said he has a daughter. “I can just about pinpoint the exact moment in my prepubescent life when the ‘lies I told the ladies’ turned into ‘the ‘truths’ I told myself ... These punks have got one thing on their minds, and it ain’t relationships.”

Such skepticism about boys in their teens isn’t surprising, say researchers, but it reveals more about what’s going on in the minds of adults, than of teenagers.

So the issue is: Tell me something about being gay ---and I consider revealing the first thoughts that come to mind.

"My friend is a Gay Man" [my first thoughts is anal penetration, mutual masturbation, fellatio, the taste of semen, multiple-partner orgies, Bears & twinks, stretched hymens, effeminate affectations, and lots of emotional esoteric baggage and existential pathos] ---all of this passes before my minds eye in a flash before I can edit it out away from my attention as to what my profit is in such an interpersonal exchange.

So a guy goes into a Jewish bakers and asks for a cake to celebrate Himmler's birthday?

Or a couple come in for a wedding cake to celebrate the marriage of their 11 year old daughter to their 53 year old neighbour?
See, Himmler engaged in the murder of thousands of Jews. Death. Himmler was Death! Thousands, millions times worse than gay love union! Also, how is a child marriage comparable to two adult gay people? I think child marriage would be way worse!

Here's my scenario:

I'd take the gay couple aside and whisper into their ears.

Dear Folks, may I inform you of my opinion? Normally I have no reason to invade anyone's sanctity, but here I must inform you that I feel you are an abomination, your so-called "sanctity of marriage" is an abomination, your re-defining of "Blessing" is an abomination. That is my opinion. I am sorry if my opinion is contrary to your passage in life. [then I'd fall to my knees] Please you must understand that you are loathesome and degenerate and grotesque and ... you know . . . abomination and ...

And as they leave, say with a crying plea help me! It's you NOT me! Help me! You make making me physically sick! Please call an ambulance before you leave ... Oh My God, I am going to vomit! Pass me that trash can! Wait! Pass me that trash can!

I charge triple for abomination preparation. But for you, I give special price: one and half regular price. Thank you for bringing to mind that I should post a sign saying EXTRA CHARGE FOR IMMORAL ACTS CAKES. [and as they leave] I offer to hold the door for them.

I'd love to see a court room scene where the plaintiffs argue that the baker kept calling them an "abomination" against the baker's sensibilities.

Wow! You would do all that?! But the couple never came to you for an opinion about their marriage. They just want the cake. So, why do you care about what they do with each other or how they live? Their lifestyle is not going to make you gay or your loved ones.

Hi Amica —
See, Himmler engaged in the murder of thousands of Jews.
That's not the point.

I picked a particularly inflammatory example to demonstrate.

How about this: An old Jewish couple, maybe even holocaust survivors, come into my cakeshop and I refuse to serve them.

short answer, you are an ass.

(Not you, but the example) In general you have the right to refuse anyone...unless your reasoning is related to religion, race, national origin, color if skin, gender, gender preference etc.

short answer, you are an ass.
OK. I refused them because they enthusiastically espouse the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank of all Palestinians, their kids are out there destroying homes and olive groves (that take decades to come into maturity).

If it doesn't have to do with race, nation of origin..... (Idk what your discrimination laws protect). (But again I think what ifs of this variety....)

Let me amplify my position:

The law criminalises discrimination, and rightly so. And sometimes there's a need to bring a a case before the courts to decide such issues. In the situation put forward by Amica, I am in agreement with the ethos of the post. In the UK any kind of active discrimination would incur a legal penalty. Is it not the same case in the US?

But there is also the corollary: Justice is blind, and the law can be an ass.

One of the common arguments in support of the LGBT community is 'they are hurting no-one' and they are 'inoffensive'. The first is somewhat subjective, the second definitely is. Because some find their actions inoffensive does not mean they are, or that everyone ought to agree with you.

And what of the cake-maker? What if he is inoffensive, wouldn't hurt a fly, but chooses not to serve (whatever the cause might be) because of his private convictions?

A reversal: A very successful design company who were enjoying an award-winning streak were asked to do a piece of work for a certain company. It tuurned out the company was IG Faben, the manufacturer of the gas used in the Shoa. It had been rebranded after the war, but it was effectively the same company. The creative director of the design group was Jewish, and he declined the invitation, as he explained to me with a fair sprinking of anglo-saxon invectives.

Now, has he the right to refuse?

If yes, why?

I went into a petrol station to buy gas. The pump turned off as I started it. I went into the shop and was told that bikers had to pay first, as they had so many ride off without paying. I got back on my bike and took my business elsewhere. If I were gay, and knew a shop was not amenable to my lifestyle, I'd take my business elsewhere.

My view: Let he who is without sin cast the first stone (John 8:7). And be wary of removing the mote in your brother's eye, when unaware of the plank in your own (Luke 6:42).

No where does Jesus pbuh say stop doing business with those who you do not agree with.
Actually, He did: "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet." (Matthew 10:14, Mark 6:11 and Luke 9:5) and "Even the very dust of your city that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you. Yet know this, that the kingdom of God is at hand." (Luke 10:11). But it's a quibble.

4. Today examples: majority monotheistic nations do business with non-monotheistic countries all the time. So, Saudi Arabia may do business with Communist China. Israel may do business with Japan, etc. No one is refusing services and exchange of goods to people who are different. NO one goes out there and says: "Hey, your nation has too many gays and if a gay person is going to be using my oil or the computers we produce, we are not selling them to you." LOL that would be ridiculous!
Thin ice here, as I see it the moral values are almost reversed. We (the UK) sell arms to repressive regimes. We harrange the Saudis in the press for their actions in the Middle East, but we still sell arms, munitions, etc., to enable them to do it, in the full knowledge that the most advanced munititions are being used against civil populations. So I don't think you an defend your corner on this basis, as it will certainly come back to bite you, and badly. IBM developed a card index system for the Nazi regime that allowed them to catalog and 'clear up' the Jews living in Europe. Coca Cola sold plant to Nazi Germany 'at a distance' so as not to affect their PR in Europe. If a country is boiling gay people in oil, there are plenty of corporates who will line up to seel them oil, cauldrons, etc.

So, why do some people get stuck to the idea that they must discriminate and then claim their religion is preventing them to sell cakes to gay people?
Same reason they make women cover up, arrest them for driving cars (in Saudi) ... it's how they interpret their Scriptures ...

So again....in the US.you are allowed to discriminate for dang near any reason you want. Can't ride this roller coaster till you are this tall....sure discriminate against bikers cause they ride off, discriminate against manufacturers of products you object (if you discriminate against every company that sold to or profited by the 3rd Reich you've got s lot of discriminating to do...)

All legal....discrimination stateside is legal, normal and regular.... Only certain groups are protected.... Race, creed, nation of origin, color of skin.... And yeah, we added lgtbq recently...and that has created the same fervor and bible thumping that the civil rights legislation did in the 60s...attempts to use the scripture to validate their prejudice...

Passive-Aggressive Behaviour
"Passive-aggressive behaviour often utilises malicious compliance; that is, veiling one's intent to not do something in performing the specific task in such a way that an unwanted result is caused." Source: Wiki

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
A passive-aggressive lives in his/her mind. They have a secret world of dreams, desires, and pain. They may or may not be conscious of this dual life. Regardless, it enables them to be dishonest in their behavior towards others. On one hand, they act accepting and loving, on the other, they are planning and plotting. If their double life is discovered, they will go to great lengths to hide their hidden personality. That is why passive-aggressive people can never be trusted (unless they ask for help). It is not that they are evil or dangerous, it is because they are dishonest, even with themselves.

It 's hard to identify passive-aggressive behavior because you can’t go into someone's mind to discover their intentions. What looks like passive-aggressive could be someone’s way of teaching a lesson or solving a problem.

Passive-aggressive behavior is based on their intention to get results that suit their needs or desires regardless of others.

To recover from being passive-aggressive, you only need to recognize your double life and begin to recognize deeply private thoughts. Over time, the passive-aggressive learns to express feelings rather than act on them. They no longer need to act out their subconscious tendencies and pain at others. If you would like to read more about my story and how to deal with passive-aggressive behavior and different levels of consciousness check out my Yoga Affect Book & Journal (Yoga Affect Book & Journal). ---Sandra Zuidema, Author

There are plenty of depictions on TV and movies now where it has become a sport called punking. It is taking locker room humor into the public where it doesn't belong.

I have seen so many people who have been abused buy others with tickling. These are immature people who when called on what they've done, always-always say, "I was only joking" or playing.

To get people anxious in todays world is not funny. It really becomes a form of bullying, disguised as fun. Well, if it isn't fun for both people it isn't funny and you have stepped over a line.

People who do this, and are in authority positions, invite passive-aggressive behaviors as the offended person cannot respond cleanly, without some kind of repercussion. It takes incredible self-control sometimes. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Could this be the missing link?

If by law one has to sell, then they can I suppose as hadith says Allah overlooks what one is forced to do (except rape and murder for these two effects other people's rights)

But if you have a choice, then the very thought that you will be assisting in one of the most abhorrent perversions of modern times just sickens me and if you assist in that marriage then you may even share in their abominable sin too!!!! Yuckkk!!!!

@Amica2 Sis Jews regard man on man sodomy as sin don't they?

Wow! You would do all that?! But the couple never came to you for an opinion about their marriage. They just want the cake. So, why do you care about what they do with each other or how they live? Their lifestyle is not going to make you gay or your loved ones.

Of course. If a man introduces me to a woman with very large perfect breasts and a beautiful face and a perfect ass, as his wife, while at a pool-side party ... and the wife is in a bikini ... YES. I must instantly avoid many "thoughts" especially if the man is watching me as his wife walks away.

"why do you care about what they do with each other" ---when's the last time {you allowed yourself the time to listen to} Jehovah Witnesses explained the bible to you? The Jehovah Witness's lifestyle is not going to make you love God.

ISIS throws gays off buildings, and the Taliban knocked stone walls on top of them...

That sickens me!

Pretty viscous response...over here, if you don't like gay marriage, don't get one... If you think being gay is abhorrent or aberrant than don't be gay...

Thanks

It seems the Jews are diverting from their religion; I'm sure gay sex is a great sin in Judaism.

Yup you're right, if you don't like gayism just dont be it yourself! That's exactly what I do

Muslims don't condemn inadvertent gay inclination so it's only the gay sex we condemn. However the gay marriage itself is a great perversion to us so that is condemned too as it's a very unnatural step perverting the social fabric of marriage

Me cool with gays wil, but when it comes to explaining why me no sell cake, you gotta really spell out da reason innit?

Regarding ISIS and Taliban, they don't punish gays either (I.e, just for being gay), but they only punish gay act of sodomy when there is indisputable evidence the abomination took place.

Plenty of Gay Jews and Muslims around... I'd say fewer Muslims than the general public, most because of the public shaming and concerns.

Do you have the same/similar issues with Lesbians? Just wondering. Many males in our country have no or little issues with lesbian sex...the only find male on male sex appalling. I have to admit, when I was younger my mind (and stomach) were not as accepting of others sexual orientation as I am today. And only in the past couple decades come to grip with the realities of gender preferences and transgender. Takes a while for us to understand people are just people, and unless I intend to pursue them sexually, their orientation or preferences have nothing to do with me.

Yup plenty around but with Muslims I think most of them are bi rather than gay

Lesbian sex is a sin too and there is a punishment for it but AFAIK the death penalty is only for adultery and man on man sodomy however for the latter death is implemented for the 2nd offence; for the first the perpetrator just gets a thorough beating and is let off

So you found gay sex more reprehensible in your younger days?; doesn't that fit in with what Islam says about the fitrah (innate nature inclined towards good)? That it's more intact when we're young as we're born with it but due to exposure to evil and societal indoctrination it can get mutilated?

Basically us Muslims always 'renew' our fitrah by praying etc and having conviction in our beliefs so we're not swayed by culture or indoctrination

Hmmm how can you say that sis when the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married 9 year old Ayesha (ra)?.

I think you should consider that in a suitable setting where culture, times etc allows it, there's nothing wrong with it

Don't you know God rained down brimstones on the sodomites and destroyed them?
