Just a question...I see the hadiths as accepted by some, and rejected by others. Is that correct? But I find the hadiths often quoted more than the Quran.. just as you have.
I infact quoted 7 Quran verses and 1 hadith

lol, see how much I know!!

Sunni, Shia, Salafi, Sufi, Wahabi, Amadi? All rate the hadiths different in authenticity? Are there any that all sects agree on? or all rate weak? Is there a chart someplace?

Lolol! well it's not as bad as it seems as 90% of Muslims (the Sunnis) are agreed on most hadiths ☺

Heaven?

I have read in the posts above:
  1. reward from their Lord
  2. Day of Resurrection
  3. the most grievous doom
  4. humiliating torment
  5. inhabitant of hell
  6. failed in the next life
Where are the clarifications of the definition of "Heaven"?

Yes you are unfortunatelly true. many but not all of the so called "sahih" Buhari and Muslim hadiths ( collected in the 9th century AD so 200 years after Prophet's departure from this world,in hear-say way by people from non arabic speaking backgrounds) are just another fabrications which were so harmful and shameful for the Islam and for the rest of the world.
First these stories contradict each othr depending on collection for example Buhari vs Muslim same event or problem comletely different answer. and then they contradict the Qur'an and when you take all of these collections you can see all sorts of opinions and stories, but there are many who put hadiths and Quranic ayats (verses) almost on the same level I I can say only Auzubillah (God Forbid). And Shiites have yet another versions of stories and alleged sayings of the Prophet.
This is where Islamic reform should start this is another issue). Many of the Hadiths are however true and in perfect harmony with Qur'an, the figure of the Divine Messinger, and with spirit of Islam in general. So instead taking all of Buhari, Muslim Thirimidhi... this needs to be filtered by looking at its contents radher then chain of transmitters because everyone can fabricate a chain of transmitters as well as the saying or a story.

hi wil

it's all in that link provided couple posts above; also here's a few more:

The following verse is very clear in that it says the Prophet Muhammad pbuh came with new laws (I.e, the Quran) for Jews and Christians and only those out of them who believe in him, follow him, they will be saved

"Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read not write whom they find written with them in the Tawraat and the Injeel, - he commands them for al-Ma’roof (i.e., Islamic monotheism and all that Islaam has ordained); and forbids them from al-Munkar (i.e., disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islaam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful al-Tayyibaat (i.e., all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), and prohibits them as unlawful al-khabaa’ith (i.e., all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allaah’s Covenant) and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad), honor him, help him and follow the light (the Qur’aan) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful."
[al-A’raaf 7:157]

Believe ye in part of the Scripture and disbelieve ye in part thereof? And what is the reward of those who do so save ignominy in the life of the world, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be consigned to the most grievous doom. For Allah is not unaware of what ye do. (2:85)

And We send not the Messengers but as givers of glad tidings and as warners. So whosoever believes and does righteous good deeds, upon such shall come no fear, nor shall they grieve. But those who reject Our ayat (verses, signs, proofs), the torment will touch them for their disbelief. (Al-An`am 6:48, 49)

Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers saying, ‘We believe in some but reject others,’ and wish to adopt a way in between. They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment. (An-Nisaa’ 4:150, 151)

above verse clarifies ALL of God's Messengers (including Prophet Muhammad pbuh) must be believed and accepted as God's Messengers or otherwise you're not a believer and will be in hell
I still disagree with such rigid interepretation I hold the opinion that none who is true believer this means who believes in Tawheed will stay in hell forever and for how long Allah knows best.
Chapter (2) sūrat l-baqarah (The Cow)

Sahih International: Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Pickthall: Lo! Those who believe (in that which is revealed unto thee, Muhammad), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans - whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

Yusuf Ali: Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Shakir: Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the f Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

Muhammad Sarwar: However, those who have become believers (the Muslims), and the Jews, the Christians and the Sabaeans who believe in God and the Day of Judgment and strive righteously will receive their reward from the Lord and will have nothing to fear nor will they be grieved.

Mohsin Khan: Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve .

Arberry: Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry, and the Christians, and those Sabaeans, whoso believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness -- their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them; neither shall they sorrow.

AND WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALLAH IS "sahih international"? why they insert words that are not there and why they put it in past tense when its in simple tense.

Quran verses must be contextually interpreted, for example, if we just take the 'do not take Jews and Christians as friends' verse for it's apparent meaning than that wouldn't be right would it?, for other verses say we can befriend non-belligerent non-muslims, so it's only the contextual interpretation that brings out the right meaning

According to Islamic beliefs:

- Anybody can enter heaven if God wills.
- God promises that explicitly rejecting Islam debars one from heaven
- God promises that polytheism, or even putting a person on a par with God, debars one from heaven (and this includes Abraham's father). I believe this means: in rejection of Islam. After all, before Islam there was a mix of monotheists and polytheists with probably no formal monotheism, so l guess people were judged on the basis of their spiritual ideals, their inner ideals.
- Obviously some Christians and Jews and Sabaeans will be in heaven.
- Maybe innocent people that never heard anybody preaching the true faith, especially those that died horrible deaths, will go to heaven? The Qur'an promises that God isn't arbitrary - he created the universe with Truth i.e. there's logic to it.
- The majority of the human race will go to hell - apparently. There's some confusion because Gog and Magog vastly outnumber the rest of humanity, and they are considered human, and they are terrible monsters, so, will they form the bulk of the denizens of hell? If so, will most of us "normals" actually go to heaven? Well, l just don't know. We can only hope, primarily for our own selves and loved ones, then the wider world.
