A question on Qurans Challenge

I wanted to know well How can an instrument of human expression prove or disprove the DIVINITY of a text? It’s impossible! Literary excellence is no guarantee of divinity of a text. So It’s futile to throw or accept this challenge, as it would not prove or disprove the divinity of the book even when the challenge is met! The challenge builds on a flawed assumption that if no comparable work exists for a given work, then it must be Divine. By that logic, even Mona Lisa is from God and Meghadootam of Kalidas is the word of God because these masterpieces have no parallels. Right? Another flaw in this challenge is that it sets the challenger as the arbitrator/judge. The biggest blunder of this challenge is that the author of the Quran was unaware of the almost zero structural impact of replacing nouns and pronouns with each other within certain statements/verses . For example, if we change “moslems” with “kafirs” and “kafirs” with “moslems” in any verse of the Quran, we would have created an ANTI-QURAN which matches exactly and undoubtedly with the Quran in literary excellence!!!Finally, it’s utterly dumb of a Creator to challenge his Creation to outdo Him. Why would a sensible creator do that? Imagine a car manufacturer throwing challenge at the car to run above its maximum design speed! Such a manufacturer would need a brain check up as he seems to forget that it is HE ALONE who has put the limits to the speed of his car. If he is not sure about the speed limits of his car, it implies that he lacks complete knowledge of his own product! On the other hand, if he does know the speed limits of the car and still challenges it, he needs mental treatment. Thus either Allah is not omniscient or what ? No offense but free thoughts must be allowed uwu.

Inputs are greatly appreciated

As for agniveer .He is my boii. Many mails were sent to IRF but no answer was received . Anyways . Could you answer the question sir ?

This is an interfaith forum. Are you a Muslim contesting your faith? Who is the IRF and is this you and your boii's thing? Running around stirring trouble on the internet? I take it you are an atheist? Or have you asked the same questions of your own belief?

the challenge is to write a chapter like that of the Quran that equals it's sublime instructions, it's master class poetry, it's beautiful intonation etc.

The Quranic verses itself are the number 1 proof that it's from God due to above mentioned qualities, thus it makes Perfect sense to challenge anyone to make something equal to it as that will be the only proof it's not from God

and your 'speed limit' analogy is incorrect. the analogy would be to 'make another car with same or greater speed limit' which can be done but Quran can never be imitated

Edited to add: I just realized this post might be more suitable to comparative studies.
Here is a discussion between a Sikh and Muslim on this subject. This certainly helped me appreciate both belief systems.

Hahaha, you sound so sarcastic with those '...', but I agree it was very cool.

Didn't mean any sarcasm... I thought there was some sarcasm on the side of the Muslim interviewer, but not more than can be expected. Both seem quite versed in their beliefs and eloquent in their ability to convey them with their words.

They get to the question relevant to this thread around 11:36.

Great video!

I have much respect for the Sikhs. Islam says good things last in the earth and the fact that these religions are lasting hundreds, thousands of years goes to show there is a lot of benefit in them, however Islam is the most perfected as it's really divine

Hi there OP, l wasn't really able to penetrate most of your garbled OP (and you seem to have a Sumerian demon as your avatar? So l guess you're not amenable to counterargs) but l get the gist:

1. Qur'an challenges people to produce a verse like one of its own
2. You are quite angry at this
3. You got around to putting form to your anger, and it goes like this: How DARE Islam do this?
4. You then say that Qur'an thinks it can prove divinity and failure to replicate one verse similarly proves divinity by default.

Here's my response for what it's worth:

1. You make a non sequitur: that the verses of the Qur'an prove divinity and failure to replicate them prove divinity. In fact, the Qur'an explains that people that just no-likey this islam business will demand angels present them with a sealed book as proof, no less. And so forth. So, l guess some people will never likey any evidence put forward. As is their prerogative.

2. The Arabic word for Qur'an verses is "ayat" meaning "signs", and yes, maybe "proofs" but only in the sense that these are what we are offered - take it or leave it - we still have ongoing ups and downs in faith. The virtue in life comes from not knowing God is real, but striving to find him, right?

3. You have not answered the challenge yet you are aglow with contempt for the challenge. This seems ironic.

4. As others have noted: the verses are masterpieces in poetic meter, advanced lore, arcane lore, philosophy, and cryptography. Individually and in conjunction with every other verse. It gets very involved if you care to investigate.

Let me repeat though: we are meant to have ups and downs in faith, that's why it's called faith, belief.
