Hello! I have been a Baha'i since 1970. Trailblazer told me about this forum, and here I am. I am retired, have an autistic son, my wife is gay, I am either autistic myself or have Aspergers like Greta Thunberg, which I admire. I recently came down with Tardive Dyskenesia, and am just started being treated for it. I now walk better, but I still cannot chew, and my memory is bad. Still, I am content with my life. I am very concerned with how the world is developing recently. The political situation today in this country is very bad, climate change is a big threat, and oppression and prejudice seems to be getting worse around the world. However, the climate crisis may afford a chance towards unity if we work together, which we will have to cope with the situation.
I don't want to discuss politics here, that leads to decisiveness especially right now. Never have I seen our country in the US so divided.

Welcome, and thanks for introducing yourself!

There's a lot going on there! A lot I have no experience of. What sort of things are you interested in and reading about on the forum now?

Edit, and have you had much time same experiences as Trailblazer as a baha'i online? (is it better irl?)

I'm interested in all religion, and I'll be looking at belief and spirituality for instance, though I'm more interested in the original sources of religions than what people believe. I see that there's a philosophical section and I have some interest in that. I will express my opinion but I will only go so far in trying to prove my opinion. It doesn't take long before I realize that there's no point in arguing anymore. Trailblazer is my best friend on these forums and we have been in some forums together. We communicate regularly through we have been less in common forums recently. I think she has been treated unfairly in forums because of a certain way she will answer posts over and over no matter what because she thinks for some reason they can still be convinced and quoting from the Baha'i writings. They think this means she is proselytizing though what she is arguing about isn't about the Baha'i Faith and she tries to correct misconceptions of the Baha'i Faith when they bring the Baha'i Faith up. We do need to defend the Baha'i Faith from misconceptions.
