what is God's purpose?

Again I pose the question why do people hate God?
Because it is the greateest untruth which has done the greatest harm in the world (especially the One-God theory). It is not that people believe in One-God but make it their agenda that all people must believe in One God that they are advocating along with its son / messenger / manifestation / Mahdi, if not willingly then by any strategy including force. Believing in the person who has brought the God's/Allah's message is just as important, otherwise it is blasphemy.

This one is good, and perhaps will be perfected, ..
Its doing something that is contrary to what one knows to be good.
You call it good! With one-third of humans not getting their food, emaciated children, the natural disasters (created by none other than this God), the multitude of diseases, the cruelty in the world. If that is good, then tell me, what evil is? Just because he could, he created an evil world? And you still hope that this God (who could have created a perfect world but did not), will perfect it?
Sure, causing pain to others is evil and who is the greatest culprit for it? It is God.
I don't know. A lot of atheists seem a bit ticked off with God for not existing to their specification, lol.
-- then God will be there. And that's the only proof needed.
Kindly tell me, if the God that is supposed to exist is OK according to your specifications? Nothing more to be desired? I have never needed God/Gods/Goddesses in decades of my atheism.

But that's just the point: I don't have to tell you anything or argue or justify myself in any way. As I said: perhaps one day you will need God above your own 'I' and God will be there. Guaranteed.

Also remind you the 4% of reality cosmology describes is just a tiny part of the marvellous mechanism of nature. And the quantum peturbation you talk about had to occur from and within something else. Where did it first start?

As regards macro molecules, first an archae and a bacteria had to combine to form a eukaroyte cell in a once off one-time-ever event that even Nick Lane the leading biologist working on abiogenesis calls 'a miracle'

Napoeleon, Mao Tse Tung, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Rwanda, WW1, WW2 ...

Mother Theresa, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Skekinah ...

... The Church operates more than 140,000 schools, 10,000 orphanages, 5,000 hospitals and some 16,000 other health clinics. Caritas, the umbrella organisation for Catholic aid agencies, estimates that spending by its affiliates totals between £2 billion and £4 billion, making it one of the biggest aid agencies in the world.

Even these numbers only tell half the tale ...

My jigsaw mainly concerns two things. creation of the universe and evolution of life. Though science does not have exact answers but its answers have more evidence than 'Goddidit'.
The Big Bang came about due to Quantum fluctuation (just as 'virtual particles' do) and evolution came about due to self-forming Macro-molecules..

An explanation of how the universe came to be from scientific observation has little to do with why we are all here.
Furthermore, whether "godddit" or not has no connection with any physical observation of the universe.
..apart from the apparent intelligence behind it .. how is it that we have the intelligence to make conclusions, but the universe that we are a part of, is "dumb" ??

You speak of human agendas, and not the Divine.
All parties are capable of evil i.e. atheists, Christians Muslims, Hindus etc.

G-d says in the Quran "There is no compulsion to believe .. truth is distinct from falsehood"
..so if you decide that you would rather make up your own rules/law, so be it. However, those that
accept it as truth are also free to follow DIVINE law

Guaranteed.

I do not believe in prophets and prophecies.
In 'Absolute Nothing'.
BTW, the molecules were there before archae. They were a bigger miracle. :)

Yeah, Calculate. One God has killed many more than all these combined.
They have done it for their own benefit - to get numbers. No credit.

There is no such thing as 'divine'.
God does not speak in Quran. It is what Mohammad spoke and what Caliph Othman ibn Affan and the committee headed by Zaid bin Thabit preserved, burning all other copies 18 years after Mohammad's death.

"As regards macro molecules (eventually leading to man) first (later, my bad) (for eukaryotic life to originate) a (primitive) archae and a bacteria had to combine to form a eukaroyte cell (with a membrane) in a once off one-time-ever event that even Nick Lane the leading biologist working on abiogenesis calls a miracle."

Better now? Which miracle is greater? Does that even mean anything?

Apart from the fact of being so angry with this God you don't believe in (or with the human race in general) the discussion is on the level of kids smoking behind the bike sheds calling God names. It goes nowhere.

Been down the road too many times, it's boring and so that is why I'm not interested in going on with it ...

Nick Lane's miracle is not 'Goddidit'. Is it? Even if it is, there are many scientists (expect more so among Hindus) who put their faith in God. Culture, brain-washing.
But when life finally arose (although the boundaries of what can be called non-living and what can be called living is very fuzzy), it was not one cell that changed. It happened to billions and billions of cells.

was not one cell that changed. It happened to billions and billions of cells.
The jump from bacteria to eukaroyte only happened once ever. It has never been repeated in all the history of life. Everything stems from that one single cell/event.

:) Yes, Beautiful, everything perfect. Make your efforts but accept what comes to you.

"Yaḥ sarvatra anabhisnehah, tat tat prāpya śubha aśubham;
na abhinandati na dveṣṭi, tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā."
BhagawaedGita 2.56

yaḥ — one who; sarvatra — everywhere; anabhisnehaḥ — without affection; tat — that; tat — that; prāpya — achieving; śubha — good; aśubham — evil; na — never; abhinandati — praises; na — never; dveṣṭi — envies; tasya — his; prajñā — intelligence; pratiṣṭhitā — fixed.

Who in all situations is unaffected by whatever good or evil he may obtain, neither praising it nor despising it, that person has his/her intelligence well-grounded.
(Edited to provide the best literal translation)

Bacteria were already living organisms.

"Bacteria were among the first life forms to appear on Earth, and are present in most of its habitats. Bacteria inhabit soil, water, acidic hot springs, radioactive waste, and the deep biosphere of the earth's crust."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacteria

"In the prokaryotes, all the intracellular water-soluble components (proteins, DNA and metabolites) are located together in the cytoplasm enclosed by the cell membrane, rather than in separate cellular compartments."

Eat whatever my wife prepares (of course, free to make requests) and whatever the religious days dictate (she is not an atheist). :)
Today is Lord Shiva's marriage anniversary to Mother Parvati. So no non-veg. on this auspicious day. A fast for my wife.

Sigh. I know that! And so life on earth would have stayed forever except for the 'quantum jump' to eukaryotic higher life.

If you insist on educating others I suggest you do some reading on the subject instead of dashing off to wiki for instant knowledge bites.

Then we could have a proper conversation.

Nothing stays the same for ever. Change is the only constant. And it is the property of Brahman. :)
