Although I haven't posted in a while - I view it everyday. Was so stressed while it was down - so, so glad IO is back

Our unexpected outage was the result of the host believing that we were illegally streaming video on this site. Obviously we are not doing such things. After many wasted hours on the phone with support staff, a manager at the host admitted that they were wrong and we were not doing anything illegal. They didn't outright confirm it, but the person I spoke with made it clear the they would work with the Level 1 and 2 support staff so that they know to follow their internal protocol before taking a site offline to ensure that the site in question belongs to the right owner. Pretty sure we got hit, even though it was someone else's site and account that was the rule breaker.

Not at all. We weren’t actually posting too many videos. Just a mistake by an entry level support tech. Feel free to post what you’d like!

The offer still stands. And if other I.O. regulars also want to help out, I'm sure we could raise the costs for running this site in no time.

Steve has been keeping the place free of spammers and trolls, and had to deal with IT support and database woes. And by doing that he's keeping alive a very lovely corner of the internet.

I think it would be a long-overdue gesture of our appreciation for Steve to help pay for the running costs.

Anyone willing to donate please contact me, or Steve, so we can sort out the technicalities.
