This is the space to drop a link to current event news.

A repository for articles youve discovered about interfaith in particular or religion in general.

I currently propose the following format.

1. Headline
(Theirs or yours designed to pique readers interest to click but not click bait.)

2. A synopsis/or opinion by you or a smattering of pertinent quotes from article.

3. The link to the article.

4. A link to I/O discussion if you started one.

Virtual Online Interfaith Event

A Rabbi, an Oman and a Pastor find Zoom

A small country town in rural western Maryland is hosting this event.

The Interfaith Amigos present a crucial message in their unique humorous style, helping participants appreciate the promise and the problems of the interfaith experience. With their willingness to openly address the usual taboos of interfaith dialogue - the "awkward" parts of each tradition - they create a more authentic conversation between themselves and with their audiences, giving people an opportunity to step more fully into the rich promise of interfaith experiences.

A panel of local faith leaders, facilitated by the Interfaith Amigos, will follow to discuss interfaith collaboration in Washington County.

Kenya President declares 3 day Interfaith prayers

“Today is our day of repentance, so, I am asking everyone, if there is anyone that I have wronged, I am asking for forgiveness, and if any of you has wronged me, I forgive them”.

“I thank all our religious leaders from the churches to the mosques to the temples who have come to lead the entire nation in prayers today, we deeply appreciate”.

As well as the ongoing news items, the Homepage also contains an Interfaith Library of permanent articles on Christianity and the Bible, many of which I find a bit shallow.
https://www.interfaith.org/articles/

But we have great Bible scholars @Thomas and @Miken in our group.

It would be a strong asset to the Homepage if they could contribute articles the section, based on recent knowledge and scholarship, to counter some of the shallow stuff? The object would be not to remove the old archival stuff, but to add recent contributions to bring it up to date.

Of course the writing should not be restricted to @Thomas and @Miken
There are other deep thinkers here whose articles should also be added.
Nor should they be restricted to the Christian Library section. There are pages for many different faiths.

For the time being would it be alright for such articles to be posted here first, before being moved to the Homepage?

@wil
Is 'site news' the best place for this thread to get general attention from members? I've made it sticky for now, but if you can think of a more public area to move it to, that would be a good idea, imo?

The Homepage is missing a Baha'i section. It is hidden away in the 'New Religions' area of the main forums.

Would @arthra and @Ahanu and @Truthseeker9 other B'ahai members be interested in helping create a Baha'i section on the Homepage?

While I appreciate the compliment, my views on scriptural matters tend to be idiosyncratic and controversial. I think the best place for my mutterings is in an environment where they can be readily replied to and critiqued. That is, in the forums.

Great. Perhaps best to start by creating a thread 'Articles for Homepage' in the Baha'i section, and take it from there?

There is now a new Baha'i page on the Interfaith.org homepage
https://www.interfaith.org/

Under 'World Religions'

The page is empty of content, and so now awaits input. But there is no hurry. It can be added bit by bit?
