First Day of Ridván (meaning “Paradise” in Arabic) — the most important of the Bahá’í holy days. It is the day on which Bahá’u’lláh declared His mission as a Messenger of God.

20 April 21 April

Ninth Day of Ridván, the day on which Bahá’u’lláh’s family joined Him in the Garden of Ridván.

28 April 29 April

Twelfth Day of Ridván the day on which Bahá’u’lláh and His family left the garden to travel to Constantinople.

1 May 2 May

The above Holy Days represent historical events in the life of Baha'u'llah and His family.

The above are the three Holy Days coming up and they represent core activities in the Baha'i Faith such as voting for those who will serve our communities from the Local Spiritual Assemblies to the National Spiritual Assemblies. The Local Spiritual Assemblies are elected in communities that have at least nine adult believers. The Assemblies decide on Baha'i activities for the civil jurisdictions they reside in.

A National Convention is held with delegates who were elected in districts across the country last October. They elect nine members who will serve on the National Spiritual Assembly for one year.
