Psychology today

It is the nature of science that even the most accepted fundamentals can and have changed time and time again... how can we arrive at a further understanding other than by modifying the current ones... a new understanding in a field that is quite the opposite of the prior understanding doesn't invalidate the prior understanding --> it may have been necessary in order to arrive at the further understanding.

At some point that old yarn gets really tired. It's like saying "I'm right! Except when I'm wrong...and I'll let you know when I'm wrong."

Follow the science! Like a dog chasing it's tail around and around and around....

Or like the boy who cried "Wolf!" one too many times....at some point one just shrugs their shoulders and ignores the science, because the science doesn't know what it is talking about...

Seems ot me...All understanding is stacked upon old understandings...those that are.found to be false are discarded...hopefully...those found to be lacking I'm detail expounded upon.
