Baha'i Faith | Abrahamic Religion

Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that Baha'u'llah is the latest of Abrahamic prophets making the Baha'i Faith the latest of Abrahamic religions.

Wouldn't this sub-forum be more appropriate under Abrahamic Religions versus Modern Religions?

I always thought Baha'i was a leading interfaith religion. Every temple with its 9 sides and 9 doors representing world faiths.

In the terms of world governments I consider the United States a modern test when compared to the various empires of history.

With the Baha'i revelation being in the past few hundred years I feel it modern in the scope of world religions.

I think the 3 religions are most suitable for the section. Adding it would start a discussion on
Yezidi, Druze, Samaritan and Rastafari inclusion.

With its discussion of the sameness of world faiths and unifying them all, that seems something beyond Abrahamic monotheism.

I like things the way the previous administration chose to place them last century and recommend we leave things the way they are for this century, but that we also revisit this discussion next century.

Baha'i Faith is in line with Abrahamic monotheism, and the Prophet-Founder claims to be the latest in line of Abrahamic prophets.

But sure: understandably it's the discussions within these forums that matter and not so much the categorization.

ReligiousForums.com lists the Baha'i Faith under Abrahamic Religions and this classification makes sense to me, but not really a worry or concern...

I hadn't seen this topic earlier but when I first joined this forum the Baha'i Faith was listed here as Abrahamic.

I would say yes for two reasons…

The first reason:

Abdul-Baha as well as the Guardian Shoghi Effendi have clearly indicated that Baha’u’llah was a descendant of Abraham through Khaturah the third wife of Abraham:

March 24. On this date in 1943, Shoghi Effendi wrote

"Regarding your question concerning the descent of Bahá'u'lláh from Abraham: The Master has stated that Bahá'u'lláh is a descendant of Abraham through a son of his, other than Isaac and Ishmael, from his wife Katurah...."
