Baha'i Feasts are held every nineteen days on the Baha'i Calendar:

The community gathers at Feasts and the program has three parts:

(1) A devotional program of readings followed by
(2) a business section with reports and
(3) ending with a social/refreshment session.

In most Baha'i communities Feasts are usually informal gatherings at peoples' homes
The word "Kamal" means "perfection" in English so very often the name of the Feast will influence the theme of the prayers.

So here are a few prayers used in my community:

"Every man of insight will, in this day, readily admit that the counsels which the Pen of this Wronged One hath revealed constitute the supreme animating power for the advancement of the world and the exaltation of its peoples. Arise, O people, and, by the power of God's might, resolve to gain the victory over your own selves, that haply the whole earth may be freed and sanctified from its servitude to the gods of its idle fancies -- gods that have inflicted such loss upon, and are responsible for the misery of their wretched worshippers. These idols form the obstacle that impedeth man in his efforts to advance in the path of perfection. We cherish the hope that the Hand of divine power may lend its assistance to mankind and deliver it from its state of grievous abasement."

(Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 85)

CXXXIV. "The first and foremost duty prescribed unto men, next to the recognition of Him Who is the Eternal Truth, is the duty of steadfastness in His Cause. Cleave thou unto it, and be of them whose minds are firmly fixed and grounded in God. No act, however meritorious, did or can ever compare unto it. It is the king of all acts, and to this thy Lord, the All-Highest, the Most Powerful, will testify....

"The virtues and attributes pertaining unto God are all evident and manifest, and have been mentioned and described in all the heavenly Books. Among them are trustworthiness, truthfulness, purity of heart while communing with God, forbearance, resignation to whatever the Almighty hath decreed, contentment with the things His Will hath provided, patience, nay, thankfulness in the midst of tribulation, and complete reliance, in all circumstances, upon Him. These rank, according to the estimate of God, among the highest and most laudable of all acts. All other acts are, and will ever remain, secondary and subordinate unto them....

"The spirit that animateth the human heart is the knowledge of God, and its truest adorning is the recognition of the truth that "He doeth whatsoever He willeth, and ordaineth that which He pleaseth." Its raiment is the fear of God, and its perfection steadfastness in His Faith. Thus God instructeth whosoever seeketh Him. He, verily, loveth the one that turneth towards Him. There is none other God but Him, the Forgiving, the Most Bountiful. All praise be to God, the Lord of all worlds.

(Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 289)

"But the Essence of Divinity, the Sun of Truth, shines forth upon all horizons and is spreading its rays upon all things. Each creature is the recipient of some portion of that power, and man, who contains the perfection of the mineral, the vegetable and animal, as well as his own distinctive qualities, has become the noblest of created beings. It stands written that he is made in the Image of God. Mysteries that were hidden he discovers; and secrets that were concealed he brings into the light. By Science and by Art he brings hidden powers into the region of the visible world. Man perceives the hidden law in created things and co-operates with it.

"Lastly the perfect man, the Prophet, is one who is transfigured, one who has the purity and clearness of a perfect mirror -- one who reflects the Sun of Truth. Of such a one -- of such a Prophet and Messenger -- we can say that the Light of Divinity with the heavenly Perfections dwells in him.

~ Abdu'l-Baha, Abdu'l-Baha in London, p. 23

"He is the Compassionate, the All-Bountiful! O God, my God! Thou seest me, Thou knowest me; Thou art my Haven and my Refuge. None have I sought nor any will I seek save Thee; no path have I trodden nor any will I tread but the path of Thy love. In the darksome night of despair, my eye turneth expectant and full of hope to the morn of Thy boundless favor and at the hour of dawn my drooping soul is refreshed and strengthened in remembrance of Thy beauty and perfection. He whom the grace of Thy mercy aideth, though he be but a drop, shall become the boundless ocean, and the merest atom which the outpouring of Thy loving-kindness assisteth, shall shine even as the radiant star.

"Shelter under Thy protection, O Thou Spirit of purity, Thou Whom art the All-Bountiful Provider, this enthralled, enkindled servant of Thine. Aid him in this world of being to remain steadfast and firm in Thy love and grant that this broken-winged bird attain a refuge and shelter in Thy divine nest that abideth upon the celestial tree."

Thanks for that glimpse of Baha'i practice!

How many participants will gather typically in your case? Do they travel far? Is it an all-day event?

Hey Cino.... ! Thanks for posting!

Baha'i communities are based on civil boundaries or jurisdictions. So my community is relatively small in a City and we've had an Assembly (elected by adult believers) since 1973 varying in size. Lately due to the limits in our state as set by the virus (Covid 19) we've had ZOOM meetings and our attendance has been low say under ten people. We've had a few open air meetings.... in our neighborhood we had a Naw-Ruz gathering with about twenty people attending. So we are relatively small community. A nearby City has a Baha'i Center.

I would estimate Feasts last a few hours and are often held in people's homes. A Baha'i can attend Feasts in a neighboring community if they wish.

Civil boundaries? Like the big temples are one per.continent?

So maybe NYC would have one for each borough?

Is there a number that makes them break into smaller groups or simply a voting block?

Wil! Good to read your post! Right there's a Local Spiritual Assembly elected with nine believers for a given jurisdiction. Some cities have under nine believers so they have a "Baha'i Group". Los Angeles has a large Baha'i Community and due to their size they could hold Feasts at various locations. Once a year they elect their Spiritual Assembly.

You can check out their community:

Most communities aren't that large of course.

There are today Baha'i temples being built for local/national communities:
