First off I say fellers but would be interested in reading about others favorite female prophets... I mean they didn't stand a chance did they? (Mansplaining excuses for misogyny will be interesting as well)

Divine (godly/otherworldly) inspiration idk, but I do think they were (or purported to be) smart fellers.

Today they might be idiot savants, or simply folks who were able to take information and experiences and contemplate coincidences and see patterns that indicated correlations.

They could have been scientists, or politicians, motivational speaker or self.help gurus....but since they live in the realm of spirituality the title they receive for their unique.combination of discerning and ability to communicate it clearly or cryptically with others gives them the title of prophets in religion (and if in business like Elon/Bezos ... profits)

We often like to put folks so high on a pedestal in time they will either fall down or be pushed if the scaffolding (house of cards) does not fall down before them.

What about reluctant prophets like Moses or Jonah? They appear to have been more driven than calculating.

Yes, I think Jeremiah is in that category as well.

As for women, I would nominate Catherine of Siena and Julian of Norwich. Having mentioned one female Doctor of the Church (Catherine), I should also mention the others: Hildegard of Bingen, Teresa of Ávila, Thérèse of Lisieux ...

Mention might be made of Marguerite Porete, a contemporary and perhaps an acquaintance of Meister Eckhart. Like him, her writings were considered heretical, but unlike him she was tried and subsequently burned at the stake – there's misogyny writ large.

Of the seven women numbered as prophets in Judaism my particular favorites are Miriam and Devorah.

Got any favorite quotes/sayings from these female prohets that are meme worthy today?

What I meme by that is things that are applicable to today's times, today's youth, today's troubles...

Parables? Moral Lessons?
