How can there be a god?

We all struggle with our emotions..
..but we have to come to terms with the injustices in this life.
The idea that there is "no god" does not change reality in the slightest.

The believer knows that this life is as "a blink of an eye" .. it is not our permanent abode.

Playing devil's advocate: So divine injustice does not matter if it is only for a short time, the "blink of an eye"?

It was devastating for me to read about Louie's cancer and your loss.

I have lost a beloved pet dog as well.

I see no "divine injustice".
I see that creatures suffer, through no fault of their own.
I see that all creatures must die.

The usual reason for citing the so-called problem of evil, is to show that God cannot be a "nice god",
because He causes suffering to infants and causes some creatures to attack others etc.

This is negative thinking. Reality does not change .. the only thing to change is our resolve to follow a path of righteousness, as satan's suggestion is that God is not worthy bla bla ;)

As has been mentioned many times on this forum, to very many individuals, it is possible to stand firmly in support of one’s convictions, to disagree in part, or totally, with the positions of fellow forum members without being disagreeable.

As far as I know the forum doesn’t charge extra for civil discourse. (I could be wrong about that. Perhaps an administrator could confirm that.)
