I am an FDR/Kennedy liberal, but my choice to openly question government policies for managing the pandemic—under both Presidents Biden and Trump—has made me pariah, primarily in liberal circles. Many traditional liberals—reacting to the orchestrated fear and propaganda—have embraced “Lockdown Liberalism,” an ideology that departs dramatically from the tenets of traditional liberalism. Like Galileo’s colleagues, so many of today’s “Lockdown Liberals” refuse to read or debate the science that they believe supports the government’s COVID countermeasures. Instead, they place their faith in the official orthodoxies of famously corrupt pharmaceutical companies and their notoriously captive federal agencies and expect others to do the same. This blind obedience is itself a kind of novel virus that now infects the entire upper deck of the Democratic Party.

Seriously bullcrap.

There are both liberal and conservative fringes that refuse facts and toe the partynline hook line and sinker.

There are also plenty of wack conspiracy theorists in both camps....from 2a nutjobs to flat earthers and bikderberger/illuminati/ fema fear mongers.

They all find a touchstone and attempt to push their agenda... I follow the money and ask why...to what benefit.

Does the oligarchy rule the states? Yes! Can I still dance and have sex and raise a family nanda worship where I want and watch futbol yup...give me the beer and circus and not your latest thriller horror movie.

Libs only believe in Freedoms if those Freedoms agree with their point of view, all others must be forcibly shut down by any means possible.

And you wonder why this site has dropped off? What room is there for discussion? I'll save you the brainpower, the answer is "none."
 
IMO liberals often embrace liberation movements under their wing which they see as fighting injustice. Liberation movements are not themselves usually liberal — they are militant and believe guerilla warfare justifies the end result, as a last resort against an oppressor that refuses to negotiate -- and then go on to become nasty dictatorships themselves, worse than the system they replace.

There are big companies that will always be prepared to make a buck out of other peoples misfortune and gullibility. It's messed up. But it doesn’t mean everyone has to buy into conspiracy theories.

What about those "Lockdown Liberals" who debate the science quite convincingly?

I will gladly back out of this thread if you all would be prefer to take your guns and run over that mountain tonslaughter the dragon without any interference.

But I think that as well...would be bullcrap...seriously. I mean if you wish to have a forum of yes men agreeing to your conjecture.without an opinion from this uneducated lout... I will stay out of whatever thread you deam sacred.

I appreciate every time someone knocks me off my pedestal.

As I lick my wounds it takes more effort to climb back up....and I am better for the climb and the bruises.
