I have just purchased the 6 volume set and my wife and I will go through them.

Two friends spent 6 years helping to compile and research the references and do editing for these books.

We will let you know what we think, have you read them yet to give a review?

Regards Tony

Is the author Muslim? Which sect?
Sorry I missed this @wil, life has been busy.

The Author is a Baha'i from a strong Christian background. As a Baha'i we are encouraged to study the Quran.

The purpose was to encourage English speakers to study and learn about the Quran, Islam and the Muslim people.

I had started Volume 1 of the 6 book series, but life is still a bit in the way, so my reading of the series is still awhile away.

Regards Tony

Hello Tony.
Have you actually got a translation of the Qur'an?

Your six book series, is that giving a Baha'i interpretation of the Qur'an?

Hello OB, I hope you and yours and family have a great 2026.

The 6 book series covers the interpretation and discussion of all the Sura's.

Yes it gives a Baha'i view in some places, and also offers a selection of other interpretations.

What are Surahs, Tony? Are they simply Qur'anic verses?

They are like 'chapters' .. some surahs are long, while those at the end
are much shorter.
Thank you Muhammad. :)

I did read the Qur'an once (in English), a very long time ago. I remember reading a story about a boy and his dog(?) that went in to a cave and slept, waking up 300 years later...... or something like that. And many references to the Old Testament.

I ought to read it again.

It does sound like a serious and well-researched work though, especially with that much time put into compiling it. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts once you’ve gone through it.
