The name may be changed the but this is the essence of the concept I am proposing.

I envision a connection...video, audio, meet and greet. In the before times I suggested a "meet up" but we were to few and far apart...

And then a few of us got together for a wedding...of mates who met here and who have parted.

The format for the first i suggest is a meet and greet, and then the people who show up decide if there is to be another and when.

For the first one (maybe the only but I doubt it) I am thinking 2 hours...just so anyone who pops in can surely get in an intro and hello...but also so folks can pop in and and pop off....and leave time for random chatting should need be.

As to time and date...I am open to suggestions... I suggest folks suggest times that are at the fringe of their sleeping schedule as we are around the globe...as to me? I would get up at 3 am to see your faces and hear your voices! (Although I doubt I will have a beer at that hour, maybe raise a glass of OJ!)

I'm game.. since we are spread out across the world it would interesting to put a face behind the names of people I've come to care about all at the same time!

I wish you well with this.

I don't have a camera or mic on my personal phone (by choice) and I don't feel it would be right to do from work (and unless outside of my regular tour of duty, I could face reprisal - and if outside my tour I would have to be able to explain being on site o_O)

I don't see a practical way for me to participate, but for those with the tools to do so it sounds like a good idea!

No seriously I understand your dilemma and anticipate you finding a friendly computer at a church or best buy
 
Neither the :kitty: delegation nor I have Zoom (we have a cheap video camera for our weekly FtF chats on Discord w/ my RL friends and their :kitty: delegations.)

I'm usually up and about from our noon to roughly four in the morning our time.
