I have an academic interest in Mormonism (and Jehovah's Witnesses and other American-born religious movements). This mini documentary is excellent imo, even if the title is a bit clickbaity.

I actually haven't watched this video of his, I'll have to do so now! I think Mormonism is so fascinating. It has its own subculture that is so unique and so rooted in Americana. I can't think of many religions that started in North America that have become so successful. It's very interesting to hear about the religion from someone who used to be a part of that culture.

I just finished his video, I'll for sure have to watch the couple's video you linked next.

I really liked what he said at the end, about his conflicting feelings towards Mormonism. I think most people who have left a religion can relate in some way- I know I can. It's a strange blend of nostalgia and unease looking back on beliefs you held so strongly but don't believe anymore. I also like that he appears open to spirituality/religion, he doesn't seem anti-religion, which some ex-religious people can be.
