Does God really exist?

The limits of empiricism. Or the 'edge' of the cosmos.
Cosmos does not have any 'edge'.

The theory of evolution convinces me there has to be a God.

There is still $10million prize money; if you have evidence for abiogenesis. Beyond a doubt, first life had to happen somehow, but we have no evidence how. Evolution 2.0 Prize: Unprecedented $10 Million Offered To Replicate Cellular Evolution
Once you accept abiogenesis by natural causes; and without evidence, it becomes easier to believe in evolution, without evidence. We look at the complexity of life today, it had to get here somehow. We know with certainty, the first Hox gene and bilateral symmetry, had to happen somehow.

How is evolution mathematically possible? Organisms did not need to go from 1 to 2 to a 1000 cells for the first billion years of life on Earth. How did blind nature go from single cell life 3.8 billion years ago, to a blue whale with possibly a hundred thousand trillion cells? Estimate according to Google. There is a mathematical path between one and a hundred quadrillion, this is one way of breaking down the numbers. It would need 4 billion incremental steps, with each step adding another 25 million pieces. Imagine doing a hundred thousand piece jigsaw puzzle of a blue whale skeletal system. You pick out 25 million pieces and assemble them, if you are successful then you can add another 25 million pieces, but what happens if there is chaos, when you repeat this 4 billion times.

Or you could assemble about an extra thirty thousand cells every day for four billion years.

Juggle the numbers around any way you like, but start from one, and the journey ends with a hundred quadrillion. If we are sticking to the evolution timeline, the big numbers happened rapidly, probably in just a few hundred million years, but stick to four billion years, just as a mathematical exercise.

Single cell life from 3.8 billion years ago, might be like bacteria, it would not have the properties of a fertilised egg.

Numbers tell a story, how is this kind of organisation possible without God?

Why do you give such malacious links in your post? It does not speak well of a God-fearing Christian.
I have checked the link again, it says there is a $10 million dollar prize if you have evidence for abiogenesis.. There is nothing malicious intended.

I took the risk and was greeted with this:
What should I do now (Don't ask me to install Windows)?

Well, sure. Life has not been created in the laboratories, but it is a matter of time; the prize not withstanding. Researchers are not after money but after answers.

Can you be more concrete, as to what it is they are having any trouble experimenting on or collecting data on?
The spirit ... or more precisely, the Holy Spirit.

The empirical sciences advance according to their inherent principles – the demonstration of proof by repetition, observation and measure of the contents and events of this cosmos.

What they cannot do is reach outside that cosmic boundary.

Increasingly, the macro and micro cosmos is becoming harder to measure – if the background cosmic radiation is the echo of the Big Bang, then that presents a kind of edge or limit, in that there is nothing to see or measure prior to that event ... how can science see or measure a star whose light has not reached us yet?

Will science ever invent a means to measure the passage of an angel, or the qualitative difference between a fairy, an elemental, an angel or an archangel?

Heaven is not a place so much as a state of being – or indeed non-being – and indeed if God transcends all being as such, then there is nothing 'there' to be monitored or measured ...

CMB tells us many things.
No science will not be able to tell about imaginary things. God or passage of an angel. :D

They would have to establish the concrete existence of such things first.
So it may be not so much that science has hit a wall as such, but that they inherently are bound by being only able to reliably assess things that are observable and repeatable, which for a long time has at least seemed to limit them to the physical/material realm.

It is difficulty to know whether the existence of supernatural things is entirely imaginary or not. If they do exist, persistent people using the discipline of science may, MAY, be able to identify something in what we consider the supernatural world. So far, I do not believe there have been reliable results, but I haven't looked too deeply into the research on the paranormal and such. I only know about it slightly. I know a tiny bit about the "gateways" stuff that the CIA investigated some years ago, but I do not think that went anywhere. Or maybe it did and they are not sharing.

$10 million is a big incentive to help find answers, yet it remains unclaimed. Even if they could find how life could first come into existence by natural causes, that is only a minor part of life's journey. How did that first bacteria type life evolve into a blue whale, with a hundred thousand trillion cells? That would need a billion incremental steps, with each step adding another 100 million cells. This amount of organisation and speed requires God. My 2c.

Everything happens in its own time. We know how it came about. The question is about creating it in a laboratory.
It is Chemistry/Physics/Biology and not God. Your question shows that science was not in your school syllabus.

I have to say, science did not answer my questions. They are still unanswered.
I do not differ with you here. Science also does not look for preferred answers as the theists do.
If evidence is against it, science will drop that theory.
God Is. Science will say, OK, give evidence.
