"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Example: A Baptist Priest in America taught lots of far right politics to his congregation and on his radio channel. He had some very fundamental views which if he had ever reached power would have caused most LGBT folks to flee for their lives, and women would have lost much of their freedom.
And he was severely anti-vax.
The COVID virus took him.
Terrible thing that maybe couldn't have happened to a nicer guy... but... not entirely reliable.
Many with his views survived to preach hate again, and nice people who got all their shots sometimes succumbed.

If the whole population is forced by law to submit to a vaccination, maybe the government should support bereaved relatives of any resulting sicknesses or deaths very very heavily.
To force medication upon the unwilling is not good, but if it is necessary for the welfare of the whole land then all those who were against it should be handsomely recompensed for any resulting problems.
You could make a case for that. The counterargument might come from reluctant taxpayers.
Mandatory vaccines of various kinds have been the law of the land in many places for ages.

Please recognize, we are getting into political territory now.

Please note that the appeal for compensation has been made on 25th February, 2025; some 6 years after the start of the pandemic. There have been no such other appeals till now. That indicates and use of covid-19 in India was safe. It was given to some 1 billion people free of cost.
O.K. I stop discussing this now.
