Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Marianne Williamson

This is good inspiration.

I have something. We did this in school for extra credit and were given points for each one we found. The Earth Science teacher who gave us the project was astounded when two of us came back with a book that had hundreds of the sayings.
There is a specific name for these particular sayings that gives it one way then flips it to the other possibility.

Here is one of them.

Red sky at night sailors delight. Red sky at morning, sailor take warning.

What are these sayings called? I cannot for the life of me remember.

What an excellent collection of sayings, SacredStar, and isn't it a delight to see that none of them proselytise a particular God or faith.

Let us add to them and make this an even more inspiring Thread.

Thanks SacredStar. :)

"Sometimes it is more important to discover what one cannot do, than what one can do."
Lin Yutang.

ah Blue so you finally express the core issue......you appear to a have a problem with the word GOD and faith, so my friend look within to find the root cause? For what we resist will continue to persist, interesting isn't it that some people only turn to GOD when they are very sick or about to die, in their desperation when there is nothing left they do indeed find GOD.

And so it is that some of us have had to be stripped naked and back to the bare bone to find our way home.

It is a belief in CS that those that are most against GOD this lifetime have experienced the most spiritual lives of service in past lives and this time maybe you are just meant to have fun!

All is perfect in this domain.

Roll on the quotes to inspire us.

Blessings and hugs

"Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity.
