I think the tree of life being placed in the center with four rivers(read energy) flowing to the center from the four cardinal directions is something we are missing.
This is my opinion on the Tree of Life. If we look at what the Book of Revelation says about it, we find something rather peculiar...
Revelation 22:2 - In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The Tree of Life is a 'her'. Moreover, she has a 'monthly cycle' so to speak. In other words, the 'fruit' appear to be symbolic of female egg cells.
In this verse, we see she is the mother of those that are redeemed...
Galatians 4:26 - But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
There appears to be a lot of human anatomy that is alluded to. If we take that concept and run with it, we find that it connects to other things.
For example, in order for the 'heavenly mother' to conceive, there needs to be a 'heavenly father'. I.e., there needs to be a fertilization process. Look here...
Revelation 22:1 - And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The father is emanating fluid via the lamb, or 'Abraham's Seed'. Thus, the 'fruit' or egg cells become zygotes by which the redeemed partake metaphorically to become born again.
If we go back to the Garden of Eden and apply the anatomy concept again, we find that the Tree of Life is 'fertilized' by the four rivers you mentioned. A, C, G, T.
The Garden itself is like a womb. Earth is the mother. The two trees therefore represent two choices of 'body types'. Immortal vs. mortal.
We all chose to partake of the zygotes on Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, fertilized by the Serpent. We all made a covenant with death to be conceived into this world.
The other key component is the ever-turning fiery sword placed at the gate. I don't believe it is there to keep us out, I think it is there to help regain entry, we just don't know what it is and how to use it to gain entry.
Thanks brian
I believe it is connected to the concept of the Lake of Fire, which in reality is simply a portal back here again. In other words, it is the final step in the reincarnation process. It ends at the Ark of the Covenant. The body is the temple.
