Prayer

Two excellent places to pray: on long car journeys alone, and out walking alone. One place I will never pray: in the toilet :eek: - it seems so disrespectful to me. Anyone have any different ideas? -vc

What is so disrespectful, about asking the maker that 'everything' comes out alright? (at least that is what my mom says).

He made us, what do you think?

i have prayed in the bathtub and i confess i have prayed on the pot when i have been ill and kneeling before the pot.
one time praying for 3 hours kneeling before the pot in a state of repentance asking and promising God, if He would make it stop I would never do it again.

Now I really think this should be its own thread!!!

Pray without ceasing Pot is a legal place no wrong there.

Kind of Like saul being delivered into Davids hand while He "covered his feet".
only a few reasons why a guy in sandels would cover His feet. Point being God works and hears all the time.
Though I tend to agree approaching the throne with my pants down doesnt sound that good........ wait that sounds wrong too

Ahhh you know what I mean.

Funny how we find face in the most inopportune place...

and God is right there, rubbing our backs...

Prayer is a sacred time when I talk to God. I show him the proper respect he deserves by using thou, thee, thine. I kneel down because it resembles that even knee will bow and every toungue confess that Jesus is the Christ. I close my eyes so I can think and consentrate and I usually fold my arms. I first thank him for all blessings, then I ask for forgiveness then I talk to him and ask him things. I also wait in between to listen to what he has to say to me, my heart and mind. Prayer should be a converstion with your father. Sometimes the answers don't come immediately but day's or weeks later maybe through a person. I also pray in my mind during the day when I cannot kneel. I try to find a quiet spot away from my screaming kids though when I am home. WE usually have family prayer then I prayer on my own. We have family prayer 2 times a day and I prayer at least 2 times a day. I always begin with HF end in the saviors name.

we need prayer warriors so it is great to have another one.
