What makes someone evil ?

I say: I don't know of any church teaching that says we should eat our chips with mayonnaise?
It might be a Benedictine rule.
Fish for monastery lunch on Friday. They call lunch "dinner" at 1.15pm. Could be fish and chips. There are condiments available. Also a beer if you want one. Breakfast everyday is just toast and cereal -- coffee, tea, juice or whatever. A light supper in the evening -- soup and sandwiches or something like that at 7.15pm. Compline 'night prayer' at 8.30pm then the great silence until morning ...

The point is that the inefficient engineer, God, made us that way (even in his second try), probably worse than in his first try. To try to change what God has done is impossible.
No human engineer can make a single living cell of a single blade of grass ...

That is a nice regimen and healthy food. But such things prevent me from joining an ashram. Though if they know my views, none would accept me.

Catholic monks do get a beer with their meals, if they want one. On special feast days talking is allowed at meals and on those days wine is served with dinner. Some monks do smoke and the monastery allows them 200 cigs a month.

In time they will do it, or perhaps they won't require that.

Key Areas of Supiriority:

CapabilityDescription
Extreme SensingRobots equipped with advanced sensors can detect environmental changes, such as spotting leaks or monitoring air quality, often in ways humans cannot.
Perfect RecallRobots can store and retrieve information without the errors associated with human memory, making them reliable for tasks requiring accurate data recall.
Repetitive TasksRobots can perform repetitive tasks consistently without fatigue, making them ideal for manufacturing and assembly line work.
Dangerous JobsThey can take on hazardous tasks, such as handling toxic materials or working in unsafe environments, reducing risk to human workers.
Surgical PrecisionIn medical settings, robots can assist in surgeries with greater precision than human hands, leading to improved patient outcomes.

Additional Capabilities
- Routine Operations: Robots can efficiently manage routine tasks, such as packaging and sorting, which enhances productivity in various industries.
- Data Analysis: They can analyze large datasets quickly, providing insights that would take humans much longer to process.

That is heaven. That is more than what my wife allows - 3 for a day, so 90 for a month.
Once you're in your room and close the door, nobody will open that door except you from the inside. Your room is inviolable. You could have a bottle of whisky and nobody would ever have to know ...

I am not allowed / I now do not smoke in the house. The smell lingers for a long time. I agree that it is obnoxious. So, I smoke in the balcony. Thank Allah, that no one else in the family smokes. It is a bad, unhealthy, expensive habit; for some, difficult to abandon. Good that my smoking is restricted. Whisky too is not much appreciated by my wife, so occasionally only (though I like it. Basically, I like many bad things, bad food is another - fried, high on salt and chilies). :D

I had my last smoke December 31st 2025, after a year of stopping and starting. I am pleased to say that haven't desired one since then.
Like you, I enjoy hot foods and often cook stir fries with hot chillies. Also, there is an excellent Indian restaraunt a few minutes from my house.
Anyway, enjoy your smokes.
I always enjoy your posts.

I also always enjoy @Aupmanyav's posts. I think Aup's wife looks after him well. I quit smoking about 12 yrs ago.

I get chillis from the shop and dry them and string them and use them for cooking. I grow the garlic myself
