This is actually from Buddhist mythology, but I thought I would put it here to see if it ties in with any other myths I may not know about.

I have been reading a number of books which have made references to Wish Granting Jewels. I believed this to be a metaphore at first, but it has been made fairly explicit that these were actual, physical jewels which granted wishes. It is said that these only exist in "Golden Ages" when the Dharma flows and people are virtuous, and that they cannot be found in these degenerate times.

Anyone heard of anything similar?

I've seen references to the twelve jewels of wisdom .... probably connected with the references to the circles of twelve .... to me it is all connected with the brain, including the 2 jewels and the "golden age" .... the "golden age" would be the time in which we return to our full potential using the circle of twelve and the 2 jewels would represent the the right and left hemispheres of the brain .... we are supposingly starting the transition of returning to the "golden age" as we evolve to a higher frequency of being. I suspect that my take on these things isn't resonating with others on the list .... but I appreciate the opportunity to share it. I think the concept of the two jewels may also be the same as the two stones which in one sense grant wishes, but in their fullest meaning are used to communite with God or the Divine Spirit. he hawai'i au, pohaikawahine

I once read many years ago there was a legend or myth, concerning the fall of Satan and the jewels he was adorned with. When he hit the earth from his inevitable fall from grace, the same jewels scattered everywhere. Supposedly with supernatural/wishing powers. Of course, as I say, this was many years ago and I cannot remember the source for such legend.

Ezekiel 28:13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, carnelian, topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, beryl, and onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and wrought in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared.

I found this gem of a topic and had to comment.
