To My Dear Old Friend--

We have been together a long time. You have served me well--I wish I could say that I have always done as well for you.

When I look in the mirror, I remember your face--striking, beautiful, and strong. You have worked my gardens, and born my children.

We have swam together, and watched the sun set and rise.

When I have been down, so have you. When I have rejoiced, you have been right there.

I have abused you, but you have been strong. And we have celebrated life.

We have danced, sang, thought, and written. When I thought neither of us could go on, we did--together.

And we still are...

I want you to know that I know you look into your eyes every day to find me, and help me. I will always remember you--and somehow I know we will not be lost from one another--we will just both live in glory.

Just thinking--and giving thanks for what I have been given--

InPeace,

I shall laud you (God)because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made Your works are wonderful as my soul is well aware....... psalm 139;14 yes we are wonderfully made and i am sure that the creator can see your appreciation of that fact but hey what a hope the bible gives

Let his flesh become fresher than in youth;let him return to the days of his youthful vigor....Job 33;25....as the last enemy, (death )is to be brought to nothing .1 corinthians 15;26 so if the last enemy of us is to be brought to nothing we will no longer have to remember our youthful selves be cause we will no longer grow old and die . what an enemy old age and death are . but what a wonderful hope the bible holds out

Hi, mee--

I know you and I have our points of contention--but then I know that so do you and many folks.:)

To be sure, so do I and many folks--sometimes I think, that in some grand way, these points somehow bring us together here.

Just want to say "thanks" to you for your response.

As always,

InPeace,

:) sometimes i feel that i cant help myself, i just have to respond to some posts , i think we can all relate to your post at some time in our lives , many people take their youth for granted , but when we start to break down in old age as all of us do, it is like an enemy , snatching that gift away. for me i like to dwell on the promises that the bible speaks of for the future
"No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’"in time this promise will also be fulfilled: "[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."—Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3, 4 but as you said in your post, its good to apprieciate this wonderful body that serves us very well ,untill it breaks down

Remember, now, your Grand Creator in the days of your young manhood, before the calamitous days proceed to come, or the years have arrived when you will say: "I have no delight in them Ecclisiastes 12;1
