I tended to struggle against falling asleep in my college philosophy classes but I just ran across a quote by Martin Heidegger that nicely encapsulated my "theology" of the "self," so thought I'd share it:
"A person is neither a thing nor a process but an opening or a clearing through which the Absolute can manifest."
