Is Christianity actually peaceful?

No one is born a Christian. U might be born into a Christian family or into a country where Chrisitans live, but no one is born a Christian. You're born a God hating sinner who loves sin and the pleasures it bring. This is why you must be born agian.

have any of you realized that every system of beleifs works flawlessly if you beleive it?

i mean geez, if its fact that we are all born in sin, then we obviously need salvation... obviously.. duh!

and postmaster. yes, if oyu think "rationally" god has forgotten you.

do not forget that god is not rational, he is god, and he is perfect. he is also a he.

and when i say perfect

i mean perfect in a way humans cant understand

but they do have to understand that this un understandable perfection that is god, does not include human ideas such as "rational thought" "critical thinking" and "puny human logic"

make sense?

it doesnt have to! its god!

Well... NO. As an engineer I can easily say NO. Believe as you wish but there is a physical world here where many beliefs fail no matter how hard one believes in them.

what can be seen obviously, is we are not perfect why is that?

some of us find an enlightenment, a righteousness in religion, and want to live by it, live more righteous, peaceful lives than we once did.
my beleif is God is perfection, humans maybe don't quite reach it, but the more we submit to the will of God, i beleive we do grow closer.

do we fully understand God maybe not, but God gives us understanding, and to rationally understand him, i beleive he can be found by all that is love and righteousness.

do any of us reach these heights, i think some do more than others, and i think their closeness to God can be seen in their Love and humility.

So would u consider yourself to be a good person?

Peace.

I think all three monotheistic faiths have in their scriptures violence mentioned. The Old Testament and Qur'an are full of the verses about wars of the Jews and Muslims that were fought against infidels. Both books were given during the time of wars. The war laws in both books do not represent the faiths itself. In order to understand a faith, one must look at its core/basic teachings (i.e. The Ten Commandments).

In regards to Christianity, I think the same applies. In some verses of the New Testament Jesus is reported to be a quiet tempered man ('I did not come to bring peace, but sword," "Those who do not hate their father and mother cannot be my disciples," turning of the table in the synagogue, calling someone a 'fool' which is believed to be a sin at the same time, also he seems quiet indifferent to his mother at times too). But a lot of his life we do not know. Again, one must look at his basic teachings (i.e. turn the other cheek).

I think Christianity is peaceful in its teachings. The way it is represented depends of it adherents (just like with Judaism and Islam). But even when it's being represented with violence, one must look at the situation itself (are the people defending themselves or are they aggressors?).

In regards to how peacefully we represent our faiths, I think we monotheists have failed in this.
