Hi, can anybody tell me about the core dsitinguishing texts of Quakers and where to find them online? I had hoped they might have them in the texts on here but they don't. What do other orientations of Christianity think of Quakers? I certainly have enourmous respect for Michael Eavis and the way he has expressed his faith.

Here you go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quakers

A number of us here are Quakers or were Quakers. The problem with asking for defining texts is that Quakers really don't like being defined and too the Society of Friends has changed since George Fox's time.

Really (and I'm not being waffly here) the definition of a Quaker has changed (except in some particular areas, the Peace Testimony for example) over the last 400 years.
