OK, Is Flash Gordon (the 1980's film) a misunderstood classic of modern cinema; Is it in reality a philosophical debate on the merrits of cleaning products? Lets look at the evidence- Flash is the name of a cleaning product, Ajax (as in 'War Rocket..) is a cleaning product, Ming rules Mongo- both slightly adapted slang words for dirt/y or filthy... Ajax obviously wasn't up to the job and even started work for Ming wereas Flash comes along, wipes the floor with Ming and literaly 'cleans up' Mongo... Or do I just need to get out more?

Sorry for the sidetrack I know nothing of the movie or the analogies...

But have completely appreciated your posts, thoughts, questions, contemplations and candor, welcome to the boards!

Seeking is a wonderful thing.

I prefer videos of the original Fash Gordon serials made in the 1930's starring Buster Crabbe as Flash. Probably the first protracted and serious attempt to sensibly portray believable alternative galactic realities to the general populace. I know the vids are out there since I bought one once at a pawn shop.

flow....:)

Did you ever wonder what chairs would look like if people's knees bent the other way?

I totally loved the movie Flash Gordon when I was a kid.. That was probably THE movie that sparked my love of Sci Fi / Fantasy :)

Flesh Gordon... *sighs contently* that was a funny film...

lol... That's awesome. Forget the chairs though, how would we look sitting down with knees bending in the opposite direction.

Huh huh...huh...yeah, that'd be cool.

Maybe you could kiss your own...nevermind...

'Flash, Flash, I love you but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth...' or 'NO! Not the bore worms' and 'You stupid Mongo person...' and then there's Brian Blessed delivering the line 'Gordon's alive?' Pure class, what's not to like?

When the pilot says "we're going to be landing shortly" does that mean he's going to miss the runway?
