Hello. New Here

the value comes from the contributors as does the open or closed minds.

Wil,
Open and closed minds. That's been said a couple of times now. Perhaps it is perceived by the Reader that since someone expresses their view, it is another's intent to "open" one's mind, when they are most likely expressing their view and validating their own thought process with no outward intent at all. I shall have to observe. I have such definite views I am so very sure it will only be a moment or so before someone will want to open [my] mind. That relic is shut as tight as a steel sive. Good luck all. :D I have to be a theosophist, as the only light that ever gets in there is from within.

I have a good crowbar, very strong biceps and love a challenge. :D

(don't worry I am not in the business of trying to convert anyone but do tend to waffle on a bit when I think someone has a misconception about Islam, that is my way of opening minds, if that doesn't work I revert to the naughty spot and if that also fails I just hit people with a big stick until they give in :p).

I have a feeling you are going to fit right in here. ;)

Hi there ChristianMyst,

Namaste! & a belated welcome to the boards...

Hare Krishna!

Hey Snoops'
It must be so. I've already been informed to bring both bones and banannas. New Age forums usually suggest chocolate. Clearly, everyone gets down to business here.

You'll have a long and happy life here just as long as you don't come between Muslimwoman and her chocolate. Or any cakes. In fact, any food at all...:D

I will have you know young man that I resemble that remark!!!

(I don't eat animals though, so you can have all the bacon sandwiches).

I should have just mentioned I am a gormet cook, and we could have gotten everybodies orders in already.

I suggest we dip the bannanas in chocolate, just the tips mind you, and layer them with crisp bacon with a sprinkle of dried cranberries and toasted almonds, layered gently on some homemade 9-grain bread right from the oven for a quick saute in fresh dairy buttter till crispy golden brown. Salt to taste.

Then have a greasy, gooey speed posting contest in the Alternatives section.:)

Hare Krishna! Neemai.

Bows to you and "the Boss," and thank you's for the welcome. We were all just having a snack, but are open to suggestions on the most promising forum for the day. Getting any guidance on that?

Namaste!

Bacon EEK  May I have mine with no bacon and ones that haven't touched the bacon would be good.

A gourmet cook - I am drooling. I may have to challenge your knowledge in the future, living in Egypt is difficult as I can't get many ingredients. So when I get back home I will give you a list of what is in my fridge and you can invent some good recipes for me. :D

Bows back to CMyst,

I'm with MW on the whole Bacon & Banana thing... Lol

Most promising forum? Not sure, it seems a bit quiet compared to normal? Maybe the lounge is our best hope? ;)

Hare Krishna,

Hmmmm...Hi ChristianMyst

Did you start out working your way through college as Elvis' midnight snack chief chef at Graceland ? Sounds delicious...of course "the King" would've wanted his chocolate-dipped, decorated banana tips on toast, deep fried.

flow....:p

Love a good eggplant parmesan, and simple yet fantastic basted garlic, or tabbouleh artichokes, or some babaganouche or gimmee thai, burmese, afghani, indian, I don't care...just make it veggie...I'll be there!

Hello all. Nick, who runs the Theosophy-Forum.com board referred me to this Board, and Bruck to possibly find an online version of Rudolf Steiner's "the Way of Initiation." This book was mentioned in Sri Krishna Prem's "Man, the Measure of all things." In it he references Steiner's work on viewing the matrix of the Universe with aetheric site. This is something I have done and I wanted to compare some notes.

In the mean time, I will take a look around this great facility.
Christian

Greetings Christian,
That book by Steiner is:
Chapter: How Is Knowledge of the Higher Worlds Attained?

You might like to check out this as well:

Here is a chap (another Geoffrey) who lectures in Australia- I have heard him speak a few times:

Thank you Bruce. The materials have been very informative and helpful. I got a new website reference out of it as well.

Hmm, may I suggest chopped smokehouse almonds in place of the regular almonds and bacon bits? {yum!}

Sorry SG but if you want anything to do with bacon you have to eat yours in the garden shed, we are a bacon free zone. :p

Hi ChristianMyst--

Gourmet cook, you say? I hope you will check out the "Mystery Thread" in the lounge. I don't get to post there as often as I used to, but I do like to stop in when I can. I am currently looking for a good palak paneer recipe.

Welcome. :)

InPeace,
InLove

Edited to add: Sally, I think that SG was saying that smoked almonds would be a good substitute for the regular almonds and bacon bits...;)

I am currently looking for a good palak paneer recipe./quote]You know I think you just hit the nail on the head for me. I don't really have an urge to look for a good palak paneer recipe...just for someone who knows how to make a good palak paneer.

I'm visualizing my plate right now the palak paneer on the lower right, some saffron rice above it, some curried somosa, onion kulcha, variety of chutney, and a mango lassi for before the meal, and a nice tall Kingfisher for during...
