It dosn't have the need for any living thing. Most planets in the universe will not have life. If life exists in any planet or goes out, it does not affect what happens in the universe. We (life) on Earth have a billion years and then the sun would dry up the earth.

What I'm saying is it could potentially also produce what we might call, or once have called "gods".

There have been people on Earth who had God-like powers over other people, Pharaohs, Alexander, Qublai, Ghenghis, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. But evolution has put a biological clock in us, all have to bow to it. What we know today is that the four interactions are the God.

By fittest they mean reproductive fitness, that is the ability to and success at spreading genes to the next generation. It doesn't always mean the strongest or biggest, but the most effectively adapted to the local environment.

What we call science was once called natural philosophy. Now we have philosophy of science to sort out the whats and whys of how scientific questioning and experimentation work - what is valid, etc.
