the Prophecy of Maitreya

The real Maitreya came in the world again in 1977.

If by 'real' you mean the actual manifestation of the fifth Buddha as prophesised by Shakyamuni then Im afraid im going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there.

My children, My friends, I have come more quickly, perhaps, than you expected. But there is much to do, much that needs changing in the world.
Many hunger and die, many suffer needlessly.
I come to change all that; to show you the way forward - into a simpler, saner, happier life - together.

Interesting that in nearly 30 years he hasn't made a lot of progress there. Given that he is the Second Christ, the Jewish Messiah, The 10th reincarnation of Krishna the Imam Mahdi and the Buddha Maitreya (did I miss anyone out?) you wouldn't think it would be taking so long.

though.. i do take your point...

for being all of those beings, combined into one, he sure isn't making alot of progress on these things

Avoid evil long-term! Think in many steps so you help the most.
Do good long-term! Maximize the good you can do!
Purify the mind and heart in solitude!

Scientific method is our new unifying belief system!
Discard all dogma, also scientific dogma!
There is only one truth. Be awake! Find it!
