This thread is about the weather. Talk about how great the weather is today, grumble about how bad the weather is today, tease others because the weather in your area is more to your liking than theirs or express your wish that your weather was as nice as someone else's. Please, no serious meteorological discussion. I will start.

The weather's been pretty crazy in the Boston area. We've had a lot of thunder and lightning lately. I've heard from some friends on the West coast that they were getting a lot of that not so long ago. It's a rainy day today. I kinda like rain but not when my plans get rained out. *grumble grumble* I guess you folks in the UK must be used to rain. It's times like this I wish I was in Hawaii. Of course then I wouldn't have such distinct seasons. I could never leave New England, cept maybe for work or love or a vacation, or if it got singled out for an attack by mutant sardines. That wouldn't be fun assuming the sardines were a real threat. If they weren't a real threat it'd probably be amusing.

I miss the green of the east and the changing colors of the fall, but Colorado has great weather. :) Warm days, cool nights, lots of sun, snow in the winter...

I've heard a high dose of Colorado is good for arthritis.

Weather is just weather... *shrugs* There is no such thing as bad weather nor good weather it just is what it is.. So I don't tend to discuss or complain or rejoice, weather. It's like complaining to the wind because it is blowing into you, no point, you can't fight the wind. Yeah, we get alot of rain here in England but yeah fascinating... lol...

down in south texas? super humid in the morning. afternoon, super hot. that is a big hot! really dry oh and did i mention that it is HOT? then at night... oh the nights. the nights are breezy and cool. very nice if you ask me.

Alex.

Too deep! Too deep! This is a shallow thread.

Oh my bad :/

Yeah it's wet here right now... Storms in and out all day one moment it is sunny... Next minuter you got horizontal rain.

You slay me.

/me is slain.

Here it's gorgeous. Will be maybe mid-70s, low 80s and sunny. My husband complains about the weather here. I love wind and rain, so to me it's great. But yeah, most of our winter was a choice from (1) horizontal rain, (2) diagonal rain, (3) vertical rain, and (4) drizzle.

i can't complain about rain at all. its the baptism of the earth. it cleans everything. but some people get selfish because it destroys their plans. such big babies, if you ask me. (just messing with you dauer. *snickers*)

anybody ever jogged in the rain? its the most thrilling feeling anyone could ever have, i think. its a "me and God are like this, man! like this!" *intertwines fingers* moment.

I've never jogged in the rain but on a camping trip I once got caught in a sudden in-rush of thunder and lightning during an exploratory canoe outing away from the campsite. That was fun.

canoeing whilst thunder and lighting over head? isn't that a recipee for disaster? and you had fun? i think i would have crapped my shorts!

Leo,

almost. It was a canoeing camping trip. We'd canoe from site to site. One day we decided to canoe out to explore another part of the river. While we were on the water we saw dark clouds moving in and quickly pulled up onto a beach. We ran into the woods and sat on the foam mats that go under a sleeping bag. Then the downpour came, and the thunder, and the lightning.

thunder and lightning never gets old. WAIT A MINUTE! you ran towards trees? aren't you supposed to run away from them when there is thunder and lightning?

Like I said, I love rain. And storms. Ciel and I were just discussing this on another thread- my love of big storms. I totally understand Leo's "Me and God are tight!" feeling- that's how I am in storms. And I just feel like "Wow, the Earth is amazing!"

To be fair to my husband though, we did come to Seattle from southern California. Big BIG climate difference. The winters here are pretty rough. You get about 9 hours of daylight, and it's always cloudy and usually raining steadily. I got vitamin D deficiency last winter since I never saw the light of day for about 3 months. Fun fun.

Am I the only one that has issues reconciling the thread topic with the thread title?

I like rain when I can get dry,
I like cold when I can get warm,
I like heat when I can cool off,
I like dry when I can quench my thirst.

Is there any place in the world that DOESN'T have the saying "If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes."?

Away from the beach, into the woods. Sat on foam mats. Good times.

*starts humming 'I love a rainy night.'*
