I have thought of something while I was mopping the bathroom floor. What is "love"? What does it mean to you? And how does it effect your life when you have it and when you don't? Why do we need it and or require it to survive? I know that there are all different kinds and variations of love.....I just wanted to see where this goes. :)

God Bless

Greetings brother,

Thanks for the thread!

I see love as a choice, not an emotion. To me it is the right choice, but at times it is also the hard choice. Other quick to act thoughts rush to get to the front of the line most times, and offer up a very sweet and easy "wayout" and love is a very thoughtful choice, you must stop and reflect upon it... Perhaps over years it will become natural and more instinctive within me, but I find love takes time and you must nurture it.. So it does become stronger.

Do we need it to survive? That would depend on how you look at it... If you take it from a religious way, then yeah I am pretty certain you do.. Physically.. I think you will find it makes your body and life endure longer... Stress to me is the biggest killer... Become light and weightless and you shall prosper ;)

giving love to me is the best way to use this choice... From that choice, no matter how big or small, you have made a difference, and you have made an improvement in a realm which needs muchas improvements... And Anger.. Hate, greed... Sure they can be "improvements.." But only in a Tim 'the tool man' Taylor sort of way... It's temporary, will perhaps cause even more issues/problems, you know, simply will perish.. Taking more down with it then what originally needed to be fixed.. But hey, at the time it was quick and easy.....

Greetings Brother Alex, :D

And "Thank You" for replying to my post.

I am finding your thoughts on this issue to be similar to my own, and I am agreeing with what you have said.

God Bless
Ian

To be perfectly honest, I used to have a standard reply to that very question. It was, "Love is what you feel for your children, parents and your pets, everyone else is just companions." I have recently altered my perspective on this only to say that "Love is the most wonderful feeling, to love and to be loved, there is nothing like it"
