In a farmhouse, on a farm. With goats.
Glendenning, a psychologist, connects the pervasive maladies--she rightly calls them traumas--of Western Civilization with the ecological movement by framing civilization as we have come to know it as a pathological system tensely pitted against the ease of the natural world. Joining personal healing and transformation with social, political, and ecological action, she argues, is the way to start healing ourselves and the damage that our civilization has done to the people, animals, plants, and interconnections of this world. Insightful and ultimately uplifting.

Oh, I totally misunderstood. Western Civ. 101 was no picnic for me. I was taking a Science and a Calc. at the same time, though. I may take a look at this one.
