I was thinking today, why don't we collectively experiment with this field see if we can transmit/recieve beyond chance?
here's a link...
ganzfeld experiments
have a look at the ideas, for those not familiar with it...
I suggest if ppl like the idea of participating, we do it...
Here's a common list of non-religious symbols:
1. basic geometric shapes:
a)square, b)circle, c)triangle, d)rectangle, e)star,f) infinity
2. basic mathmatical shapes:
a)equals, b)plus, c)minus, d)divide, e)greater than, f)less than,
3. basic signs of measurement/money:
a)percentage, b)dollar, c)pound, d)euro, e)number symbol,
4. basic english language symbols:
a)exclamation mark, b)question mark, C)ampersand,
5: the sign for a musical note
here there are 21 symbols.
Of these 21 symbols we can create a poll and have each of these symbols as a response, to collate data. I think you can hide results of poll until poll is over, and so we would need to have a window of response.
Suggested experiments:
1) to identify a random group of unknown bodies I suggest first we all choose a symbol, and all participants are included. If we are christians we should not choose a cross, nor a buddhist a circle, nor a jew a star, a musician a musical note, etc etc, as this could corrupt the experiment.
We should then all try to decide which symbol everyone else has used and select the response for each. I suggest we all try to focus at a set time on each other, and the symbols, then post on a poll.
From this we could ask: who seems to score a lot of hits? Does anyone score higher than chance?
Are there other patterns, such as one person whose symbol everyone gets right? Are there participants who seem to know the majority of symbols of others? Do those who think they're psychic get better results overall? Are people's guesses more accurate than chance?
If so, we can refine the experiments, send more complex images and such, maybe move onto words, or sentences... for this we need to split those whose results score statistically higher than chance into two camps, senders, and recievers, and then experiment again, using more complex symbols, words, images, et cetera... I would not suggest we do a poll of this, and think we would then need an impartial selector, who would then send a msg to senders, giving them object/word, to send, and ask recievers to again, focus at a set time, and again, we then collect data and post results.
The more ppl interested the better, I reckon...
