Not me mate, my dad. He took her along twice. Came back madder than hell both times!... and you took this wonderful woman to the Dog Track to gamble? For shame!
I've noticed that. Folks that have premonitions from time to time seemingly have little control over it. Especially when it comes to personal gain of a monetary nature. Not me mate, my dad. He took her along twice. Came back madder than hell both times!
It does seem that way. Then again, if I had a premonition that could potentially net me a boat load of cash, damed if I'd tell anybody.Folks that have premonitions from time to time seemingly have little control over it. Especially when it comes to personal gain of a monetary nature.
My Grandnephew said this when he was 5. He's now 11 and claims to have no recollection of it. This past weekend he and his mom were over and the subject of the hereafter came up again. This time however, it was my Grandnephew that brought it up, wanting to know what happened when the cycle of life was complete. He said, "After you die, your body goes in the ground and your mind gets divided up among the people that loved you when you were alive. Then, you use their eyes to see everything again."
Yeah. Like I said, her and her family have worked our farm for generations. Still do. They look after us, we look after them. When you say retired.... does that mean she still lives on the farm and the farm will take care of her for the rest of her life?
Cheeky little devil. I think I liked his first version of life after death better. Continuing to live our lives through the eyes of our loved ones.Instead, he accepted that there were differences in the two beliefs and responded by saying, "Oh, ok it seems like God has that all worked out for us either way, so I won't worry about it anymore."
I rather liked that assessment myself. I think I know where the idea came from. At my mom's funeral, the Priest giving the eulogy said that her memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Apparently my Grandnephew, being 4 at the time, took it quite literally and assumed the departed would continue to experience life through the eyes of the living. Maybe he's a reincarnated Aboriginal. That's the kind of thing they'd say.Apparently my Grandnephew, being 4 at the time, took it quite literally and assumed the departed would continue to experience life through the eyes of the living.
Humm.... You should make a thread about Aboriginal beliefs.Maybe he's a reincarnated Aboriginal. That's the kind of thing they'd say.
I doubt there'd be much interest. I'm just gonna contradict most of what everyone has read.Humm.... You should make a thread about Aboriginal beliefs.
I don't know let's ask.I doubt there'd be much interest. I'm just gonna contradict most of what everyone has read.
Well as you can see, not one response. I didn't think there would be any interest. Then again, your message may have been lost in all today's twaddle.Hey! Anyone interested in a thread about Aboriginal beliefs from Aussie Thoughts' perspective?
Could be. More drama than the weekend usually holds. Well, give it some thought anyway. Then again, your message may have been lost in all today's twaddle.
