Out of the Mouths of Babes:

So far, he's successfully shot down every nonspiritual explanation thrown at him.
Bloody little prophet.
His science teacher says his level of inquiry has become quite a disruption.
Does he believe what he's saying or just found a way to needle teacher?
He knows what the text book says and why. He also knows that the 'A' he earns in this class is based on that material. However, he simply doesn't buy it.
LOL... he's learned how to play the game then. Nothing wrong with that.;)

Both. He believes what he's saying and has decided to needle his teacher about it. Here's the thing. During a recent parent teacher conference, his science teacher told his mother that his level of thought is much deeper than the other students and that he is asking questions beyond the curriculum she is authorized to teach. She went on to say that she agreed with him on many points, but suggested that perhaps those kinds of questions should be addressed at home.

Not really. He just understands that his final grade is based on his test scores and that those tests are based on the information contained in the text books.

Translation: Tell your kid to stop asking questions like that before he gets me fired!

If by that you mean we should be teaching Christian doctrine in our public schools, I beg to differ.
No that's not what I meant. Christian doctrine has nothing to do with it. All I'm saying is, the curriculum this school system uses is etched in stone and does not allow teachers to consider other points of view. Especially be they spiritual in nature.

My grandnephew identifies with no particular religion. His mother is Hindu and his father claims to be half way between Catholic and Christian; whatever that means, but neither are particularly religious. My grandnephew's spiritual awareness seems to have existed from birth. To him God is God, period.

Fairly common statement....many wasps are anti Catholics.... And don't consider Catholics to be Christian... Claiming idol worship and Mary worship...

How's that work? Thought Catholics were Christians. Most Caths down here think they're the only Christians.

Well the Anglicans and Catholics both believe in Apostolic Procession, Both also practice confession ( regularly ) Both believe in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. I know that in both Churches we clearly hold relevance to the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. We believe in the Trinity Father. Son and Holy Ghost. From my understanding the " New Reformed Christian Churches" Center their faith around Christ alone with very little credence to the Old Testament. Being Anglican, I am a Christian because I am baptized in Christ, receive His Body and Blood in Holy Communion for my Salvation

I don't know. My niece's husband makes a distinction between Christian and Catholic, but he's yet to tell me what that distinction is. He actually knows very little about religion. I once had to explain to him what a Rosary is. I think he only said it because his twice divorced father claims to be Catholic since he attends midnight mass on Christmas eve. In his son's mind that makes him Catholic too. The same way he thinks that since he's married to my wife's niece, that makes him and I related. Very odd fellow; as his in-laws in Fiji say.
