Oh, please. Disabled, or with disabilities...same damn thing. And Bob is nice about nothing that does not suit Bob. I am alot of things, but fearing gays is not one of them.

We, like disabled people, ought to be treated like *people* is what I am saying. Apparently you have a problem with that. The law which you are protesting says that teachers should not mock students who have disabilities, and should not make disparaging remarks about their race or religion, and so on-- are you against all that? Or is there only one group which you think teachers should be required to insult?

So, I do not see where anything could be easily said the same about me on this matter...

you really ought to read what I post above before kneejerk reacting to what is immediately before...

Look, this is a stupid tangent we're getting off on, but my response was simply to your statement about Bob not being nice about stuff that doesn't suit Bob, which is just a rather nasty way of saying that Bob has an agenda.

So Bob has an agenda. Big deal, so do you. So do I. We all do. That's what I meant by my statement.

Yeah, right. What is this whole thread about if not Blattz and you whining about how you poor Christians are being put upon? You find it intolerable that it is now enshrined in California law that teachers shouldn't make denigrating remarks about gay students, anymore than they should denigrate Christian students for their religion, or mock students in wheelchairs, or make nasty racial remarks. Are you or aren't you going to try to justify your opposition to such a rule?

I find your stance intolerable. I look forward to more people voting with their feet. I think no one should speak ill about any person, but that is going to happen. Gay, is not religion, nor disabled, it is for the most part choice. For those that it is deemed not a choice but a hardwire issue, then we can compensate for them. Science can determine such types. Those that choose such, choose such as they wish. They pay the price. Society at large should not have to pay the price for them.

I will say this, you are not the first choice (I should think), to act as vocal advocate for the Gay rights movement...because you turn me right off (and I usually want to protect everybody).
