Great spirit

A site put up by a "chief" of dubious claims to legitimacy, I'd say. Here's some more stuff from the same web site: Olivia D'Orleans

Fair enough. My only intent here was to post the entire list for further dialogue. A simple google search will reveal pages of the Ten Indian Commmandments listed on various sites. I just happen to pick the first one.

I do admit, whatever the source they do have a certain appeal to them. The 'spirit' of the list exhibits values of respect, cooperation, honesty, responsibility, and helpfulness.

Also, there is a further list called "The Seven Laws of the Great Spirit", which seems to be somewhat a reiteration of the former list:

1. Number one is respect for proper authority.
2. Number two is to preserve and promote the beauties of nature.
3. Number three is to judge with kindness and wisdom.
4. Number four is moderation in all things.
5. Number five is to play fair in the game of life.
6. Number six is that a person's word of honor is sacred.
7. Number seven is respect for difference, the basis of Indian teachings.

That's a bit like going to Germany to get information about Indiana.

LOL i am glad to say i didnt buy the belt to get info on the indian 10 commandments ,i found it in the belt bag .

i was just reading what it said and it inspired me to think about the great spirit :)

God is more than a mere "great spirit". God is ontologically distinct from any and all created beings.

Perhaps...presuming this "mere" great spirit you mention is created.

The G-d of the Bible goes by a multitude of names. Is it not possible this is simply one more name? Is it not possible that you cringe because it is not a name you prefer? ;)
