Namaste Skull,

Buddhists carry cards?

I din't know those robes had pockets...I thought they only carried a bowl...(but now I realize I don't even know where they keep the bowl)

but welcome and have fun, jump on in the waters fine... a little chilly in some coves, but you get used to it.

Lay Buddhists have no robes, but I did get a little booklet when I took refuge many years ago - so "card-carrying" is not an entire joke.

What was your booklet you carried, the four noble truths and the eightfold path?

I think that would be a valuable item to have around...gotta find a pocket.

It contained verses on the meaning & value of the Triple Jewel of Buddha, Dharma & Sangha; also verses about the bodhisattva vow etc.
