Can the Soul die?

Confusion I believe is .. I'm Zimbabwe.

Us making an assumption the word "in" was left out when actually the word "from" was left out, or we should have interpreted it to mean .... I am Zimbabwean...

Right! Sorry I didn't spot that one! *#! phone keeps deciding what I should be writing, lol ...

"Can The Soul Die?"

Yes, the soul dies when the body is taken to the dust and the breath of life is back to God Who gave it. How's that? It happens that, when HaShem formed man from the dust of the earth, He breathed into his body the breath of life and man became a living soul. To become is to be and not to have. So, we are souls; we don't have souls. Death then of ourselves means death of the soul. (Genesis 2:7 and Ecclesiastes 12:7)

How's that? You are not "Quoting" You are interpolating.

have you had a tough time picking which translation of the
Bhagavad-gita to read? I ask cause it's the most important point in choosing which translator to read. I know about all the non-Hindu translator hipsters thinking they are riff on the Vedas.

That's why I must recommend reading exclusively the "Bhagavad-gita As-It-Is" by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami.

That's where the soul is defined entoto. Post graduate quality data is available in the book, Srimad-Bhagavatam [aka the Bhagavata-purana].

Wait for it . . .

No where else is the SUMMON BONUM of Godhead and Pre-western History and a lucid illustration of ancient Bhaminical Yoga principles of life and society and the purpose for existence etc etc etc is to be found. It's an open book sitting awaiting the centuries to get older.

I am not only quoting from Genesis 2:7 but also using of Logic. If HaShem breathed into man's nostrils and that made of him a living soul, it is only obvious that soul is the combination between the body and the breath of life. Then, at death as man's body goes back to the dust and the breath of life is "gone with the wind" so to speak. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) It means that no one is born to live forever.

I prefer A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swamis' translation myself. Then again, this is the Christianity section. Not too many people quoting from the Gita here. I did post an audio version of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swamis' translation of the Bhagavad Gita a while back in the Hindu section though:
