How come no one gives current physics theory any relevance in regards to religion?

@Geo

Your poll does not allow the option that many people do give current physics theory relevance in regard to religion

Did you write that book?

Lol, your poll reminds me of the ones trim sent out....do you like me or do you love me?

Welcome to the forum, and which current physics theory are you speaking of?

Wil, speaking about how our brain organizes Time, that it doesn't exist in the greater reality and truth, as well as whether or not the organic realm is a simulation. (It is.)

No I didn't write the book, which came out the same year The Matrix was released.
Physicist Julian Barbour is the author.

I don't believe thinking we are in a simulation is the current theory...rather it is current speculation..by some.

However let us say it is. How does this concept affect your life? What should you do with this knowledge?

If it is should we not worry about hunger, war, covid?

Does it affect what I cook for dinner?

It's interesting what John the Baptist declared upon seeing Jesus, concerning how He is "The Lamb of God to come to remove the sin of the world."
Singular, not plural, as in "sins"

Wil, the sin of the world is described in Rev. 12:4, regarding our change into this organic nature, and timeline.

Answering questions with questions?

I simply want to know how the knowledge that I am in a simulator will affect my decision making and happiness level.

My near.death experiences contain one pile of.hallucinations...many of.which had I been a religious zealot or believer in faeries could have easily cemented my belief.

Well, it's the truth wil. However, if the truth is not important to you, then there's nothing I can say. Is there?
Don't know if you can recall the magazine, "Outdoors", and how they always had an article called, "I Survive".
Well it's on T.V. now, and at 10 pm they have "Beyond and Back" with a number of NDE accounts.
I've recognized, in hindsight, that part of the reason I readily accepted Christ at 17, was that I was already a believer in the paranormal, and in the NDE, OBE, stories I was reading about.
But again, if you're not interested then sorry to bother you. Just like the majority of humans in the world, go ahead and continue to fear death, and do anything you can to avoid it.

Thanks juantoo3.

Again...how does this knowledge of your truth affect your day to day life?

I Don't know if you are aware, this is a discussion forum.

Thanks juantoo3.

Thank you for the offer...it is the exact same offer I have had from at least 32 different other prophets over the years, all of them claiming to have the only possible truth...and yet every one of them different.

Knock on wood, I'll stick to the truth I know. Perhaps it is illusion, but it is the only truth I can verify in this existence.

What is your position on the work of Raymond Moody? And your position on the work of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross?

Hi Geo. I'm afraid I don't know anything about physics but still like to extend a warm welcome to newcomers. Enjoy!

Hi, Geo!

As for the question, I'm with the others, its slanted against objectivity: It's an 'Am I right or am I right?'

Yes, I think there are interesting touchpoints between physics and philosophy, or is that physics and metaphysics? Elsewhere here a couple of us have touched on multiverse theory and the 'multiple states of being' in the Hindu tradition.

I think 'Matrixism' is as populist as 'the Jedi'. If anyone remembers 'The Prisoner' there are echoes from another age ... all are dependent on a smorgasbord of ideas, and personally I would always advise someone to seek the source – especially when movies are designed to beguile the senses, a movie is 'Maya incarnate', as it were. (If The Matrix was a badly made film, Matrixism would never have been a thing.)

Matrixism is big in Hinduism. By most Hindus, the perceived phenomena is considered to be an illusion - of something else. What does 'matrixism' has to do with Christianity?

Thanks all.

Aupmanyav? The allusions of the Matrixism with Christianity are quite apparent.
No?
My point is that something occurred in the Garden of Eden which resulted in this organic situation in which we find ourselves, in the world. (Matrix)
That also, Physics theory since Einstein supports this.

I've suggested that physicist Julian Barbour's book ought to be included in the Matrixism list.

What Garden of Eden? Where was it situated? Was it some place near Aden, Yemen? What is the proof of its existence?

Well, perhaps in this world. But, "Paradise", is a timeless situation.
Size, location, distance, weight, etc., doesn't apply to the timeless, or eternity.
Which is the greater reality, and truth.
Apart from our evolved, organic situation we find ourselves in.
I bring up Revelation 12:4 as an example.
We know who instigated the Fall, and it's intended consequences. It wasn't the Lord.
Look up Paradise in the New Testament and you can see it is a timeless state.
This was the situation before, "the Fall".
Things changed.
