Any anti vax/mask/virus hoaxers here?

I know not one who died or more than a day or two of side effects from the vaccine. 5 shots for me and no more than a punch in the arm. The states with the lowest Vax rates also have the highest death rates

My concern has never been the short term effects of the bug or vaccine (I have no fear of death) but the long term effects, i do not wish to live with those issues

That's exactly my fear. I don't trust big pharma and an untested shot with no liability is the scariest thing imo. I don't trust the government and especially the FDA. I don't trust the media. I believe I had Covid January of 2020 and again in December of 2022. I had no lasting effects other than a cough that lingered for a couple weeks. My son, who never took the shot, had Covid in August of 2022 with barely any symptoms. I know 4 people in the past year who have died suddenly with no warning. All 4 had the shots due to work mandates. I can only go on my personal experiences and observations. The worst thing throughout this pandemic was the polarizations between the two sides and how absolutely nasty it got.

I've been watching Ask Dr Drew on you tube and his guests have been very enlightening to me.
 
There is so much to say about this matter, but I will just provide an example of why I don't trust the media or government about Covid. The front page of my city's newspaper had an article about masks. It used the infamous line "experts say" over and over. It never provided sources. It claimed that by not wearing a mask, your chances of getting Covid-19 increased by 70% or even 100% over someone who doesn't wear a mask.

The next day, tucked way in the back of the same newspaper, was an article from the chief medical advisor for the associated press. He claimed that by not wearing a mask, your chances of getting Covid-19 increased by 6%. He provided sources and cited professionals. Not once did he say "experts say".

Since I read that second article, I have disregarded anything from the media that uses the words "experts say".
 
I had a family member pass away from a brain tumor in 2021 while in the operating table. Not Covid... Brain tumor. The hospital put the cause of death as Covid. The immediate family asked them to change it and the hospital would not telling them that they received government money for each Covid death. That made me question the numbers of deaths that were actually from Covid.

What kind of rule is this? India gave additional remuneration to those designated to work against Covid and paid nicely to survivos ot medical people who died fighting Covid.

Doctors are being silenced here. Any questions brought up about the safety of the shot are met with harsh reprimand.
 
We are nearly over with Covid. 1842 cases all over India down 54 from yesterday. No death, 13 states with zero cases, 7 states with single-digit infections. Karnataka has 165, Kerala is the only problem with 1,181 infections. Delhi has 11, down 10 from yesterday.
 
It is all quite tricky, all Vax shots have had side effects for some, but they all have also been more valuable at saving lives and less likely to kill than the bug.

Covid deaths are also tricky, lost a 30 year old friend the other day. Granted he was a smoker, granted it was cold. But he contracted Covid bad, sick as a dog but not sick enough to abate his nicotine addiction, he went out and sat on the back porch to smoke a cigarette and died in his chair in 21f -6c weather.

What killed him? Covid, the cigarettes, or the cold? Without covid, pretty assured he would have come back inside
 
2 funerals this month (non covid) and planty other friends catching the bug.and hospitalized after various spreader functions.

We live in interesting times. Both the folks that passed rejected treatments to prolong life and entered hospice, both given drugs to make the transition quicker and less painful. Our states vary as to what can be done with assisted suicide, but as i age with various issues it is good to see the changes

Three neighbours passed from Covid.

All three were heavy smokers, all on oxygen.

What's infuriating is that the complex's management brought in a local pharmacist to give free vaccines/boosters, yet these neighbours refused them for "ethical" reasons. *shakes head*

I'll be with the :kitty: delegation if anyone needs me..
