It certainly was essential for me, most notably, during my active grief years ... I journeyed through grief w/a great many other widow/ers, those who had faith/God/religion/spiritual beliefs healed quicker - the answers they sought were provided as well as coping skills to accept/come to terms...

What I do find weird is stating "one does not have the same personality in the afterlife" ... How do you know this if you don't believe in the afterlife? Has it been scientifically proven? ... From where did this information come from? ... Love & fondness are not the same nor would the grief...

What do you hope for when you die?

I believe in both religion & science ... A new study "suggests" a near death experience is caused by a surge of brain activity as a last hoorah ... Near death is not the same as dead as a door nail off to the spirit world or wherever & whatever ... Obviously, it is not proof of the afterlife...

Yes! I get what you're saying ... I also vent about this problem ... For myself, I prefer to know outright if a person can relate to what I'm saying - if not they can make my life easy by saying they don't get it ... Misinterpretations of words as well as improper use digresses the conversation...
