    The Absolute Truth

Hmm, wonder if I can say this: As one seeks to have an "intimate" relationship with God, one moves from faith and it's ritual associate religion. Suppose like morning fog lifting to reveal the day. It seems religion is the billboard making the announcement, I suppose faith is believing the...

    The Absolute Truth

Isn't this the ultimate goal of all religions? Or in keeping with the op, "The Absolute Truth".

    The Absolute Truth

Hi, Just wondering, do you see Islam as An Absolute Truth or The Absolute Truth? The folks who think that their religion is an absolute truth might disagree that yours is "the" absolute one.

    He's back ...

Hi Thomas, Was wondering where you were. I was just getting ready to launch a ruckus over in Christianity to see if you were still around. :p Nice to hear things are good.

No problem, NASB= New American Standard Bible. It looks like I have the "updated Edition". :) Does this new Orthodox English Bible have a special name?

    History of Christianity

I thought the icons and statues were there to spark the mind, kinda like when you see your bible on the table or when you drive across Colorado from the east and the mountains rise up before you. But indeed I do remember some text in the OT about no image on the earth or in heaven above. So...

Re: The testimony of the early church as toward the correct interpretation of our bib Some folks see a plain disconnect between the church of apostolic times, as portrayed in the biblical stories, and the church after it gained acceptance by the roman empire. You very well may be correct...

Re: The testimony of the early church as toward the correct interpretation of our bib Hi, Wil you're done reading all this guy's commentary? I agree that it's hard to read sometimes with the way it's constructed. BTW there's quite a bit more to read there, bet emet ministries websiteswhich...

    Bnai-Noach

After spending some time with the bible and as an outsider somewhat of the RCC lately it seems obvious that they have tried to plagiarized the old testament priesthood in some ways. But in my 46 years there I can't ever remember any one actually admitting that or saying that they are real Jews...

    Bnai-Noach

Dauer. From a trinitarian stand point, Jesus Christ is G-d. (anyone feel free to correct me on this). Doesn't this go further than being an intermediary? This is the way I was reading the idea of the opening post. Would it still be acceptable to think of oneself as a Noahide in this case? Joe

    Bnai-Noach

Ah, pardon my intrusion and perhaps ignorance, are there any undisputed absolute statements that I might study?

    Bnai-Noach

Some folks who claim to be Christian claim not to be trinitarian. I've discussed non-trinitarian pov in the Christian forum before as I don't see the NT reading saying Jesus is G-d. Jesus very clearly points out how and to Whom we should pray. "Our Father...." If one follows Jesus' lead and...

"This place is dangerous for trying to find truth"

A bit ago I was given a Book of Mormon by the messengers. Spent some time with it but I found it to be just a little too much. Don't know if interesting would be the term I would use. I ended up giving it to a Mormon co-worker.

    I've become an Evangelical Universalist

Actually I think it is important. In the beginning Paul was the only apostle that got very liberal with how he saw to include gentiles into the faith. The meeting was necessary to come up with a consensus or way to face the new converts, just as things are today when a major idea is to be added...
