Exclusive areas for islam in the UK?

You think that is acceptable behaviour from the police officers? What if the muslim came to a "christian area" "jewish area" "pagan area" and got a good beating :) You think it would be left as: "well, he shouldn't of gone in that area." Or do you think it would be a different story? As in for example... Oh poor muslim! He was a victim of nazi's! or something to this degree?

I personally feel the muslim is given a different set of laws and boundaries to everyone else, and that, that is bs.
 
i agree, ridiculous...i'm neither muslim or christian but they should both be allowed to "preach" as they please, within the law. i recall "stories" of people in "muslim" countries converting to christianity and getting into deep ****. i'm happy that a white brit has the freedom to become a muslim without untoward difficulty...it does seem that islam is still a bit control and power hungry like catholicism was in the middle ages...that'll change, with raves, the internet, macdonalds and sky ;) personally think we're all mashed, but at least it's out of the closet for all to see in the west, rather than hidden, denied and swept under the carpet where it's festering...

Isn;t that simply invasive and insensitive, plain ignorant, and something others should not have to put up with?

After all, it's just a couple of snooty people believing everyone else should confirm to their own personal standards, and then loudly denouncing everyone else for it.

How is allowing that anywhere progress?

We should ban all preachers from all non-organised events. :)
 
i spose one should be weary of such articles as you may not be getting all the facts....someone may have an agenda to whip up anti-islamic feelings. it doesn't seem that clear about exactly how they were going about their buisness, they may have even been there purely cos they knew it could create a media angle, but then also if they weren't pushy or breaking the law then they may have a right to do as they did...just dunno...

could be like when the sun newspaper reported that england shirts were banned when they weren't, purely to ignite race hatred...

so long as they leave my doorstep or me when i ask them to, or anyone else, no harm...don't mind jehova's knocking, don't mind chatting to them either so long as they're polite etc....
 
I think preaching in these circumstances will look like racism, even if that is not the intention. It will be interpreted as deliberate provocation, and IMO fall under the "behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace" heading.
 
VC: Why does anything that opposes islam have to look like racism? It's nonsense.... And to be a muslim you ain't of a race. It's a faith... There are whites blacks yellows browns *shrugs*

Breach of peace seems harsh.....

Ah time ran out... I got distracted by eating a sandwhich..... Anway another thought.... Who causes this "racism" divide? Are they attempting to unify with us? Or keeping a distance and building their own groups and "countries" within a country? Not one of you has seemed to have picked up on islam areas as wrong... The hell is with that? From that I would assume that you were cool with Hitler packing the Jews into ghettos... IT is the same thing.I think these barriers should be destroyed and if a "white" christian wishes to preach the word of his lord in his own country he should be FREE to do so...

Trying to make it look more like I am discussing race btw, seems that is all that some people ever see, so I shall humour that.

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them.
 
That is one of the many verses that left a real bad taste in my mouth when I fleetingly inspected islam. There were many verses like this that came up constantly when I was listening to the Qu'ran on my mp3 player... You can reach your hand out, to accept another and help them across the river... But, if they do not reach their arm out.... You're flogging a dead horse.

Indeed, likewise socialists should be beaten up if they speak in public. Feminists should be beaten up if they speak in public.

Indeed, EVERYBODY SHOULD BE PROHIBITED FROM EXPRESSING ANY IDEA OR OPINION IN PUBLIC AT A NON-ORGANIZED EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When government starts to dictate what ideas are and are not permitted to be expressed or demanding that expression of a specific set of ideas must be licensed, then government might as well prohibit all speech--it's only a tiny step from one to the other.

If you wish to live in a society where we are all slaves, and every aspect of life is dictated by government, then ban street preachers. If you want the freedom to speak out in public, yourself, then you will have to tolerate street preachers.

The difference between a fascist pig and a human being is that the human being doesn't want the government to ban a specific instance of speech merely because he finds it disagreeable.
 
But that is an utter fabrication and incorrect... It is what it is... And I know in, certain... Movements you get some bad eggs jumping on the bandwagon as they think it is an easy way to take cheap shots for their true racist tendencies... But the Majority of these.... Movements have a much more passionate, noble and just cause...... I refuse to be labelled a racist because I oppose islam.
