But why would you want 'eternal life'..? I don't think our minds can conceive of what an enternity really means, which is fair enough, since we would struggle to imagine what even ten thousand years really feels like. Wouldn't you get bored, living eternally? If it were possible to...

Good post - and thanks for it. I agree with much of it too, however, it reads more like a political endeavour than one that has any need to bring a god or a prophet into it.

So they really desire death, and the promise of something *better* upon death, is what you are effectively saying. But we know this world, warts and all. I rather like living in it (most of the time). If I were of a mind to aspire to change it for something else, I would need to know in...

And there are people, of course, who did that. In those instances, I would acknowledge their convictions, however, I would stop short of thinking that they had done this for me. They would have had their own motives, I wouldn't even enter their minds, I wouldn't have thought. Likewise, if...

My old maw? Well, for the community which is my family, she raised three children under difficult circumstances. Does that matter, anyway? A friend of mine (Christian) tells me that it is not a deeds based gig, anyway...

In what way specifically do you 'give your life to Jesus'?

Whatever Jesus did, whoever he did it for, he did not do it with me in mind. If Jesus was crucified (and there is great doubt as to how accurate that is, given that the great record keepers, the Romans, somehow forgot to keep a record of this particular crucifixtion..), then I do not feel bad...

So, according to you, only 'born again' Christians can have a personal relationship with god, am I understanding you correctly?

Entirely wrong, however, fill your boots - if it helps for you to perpetuate a lie about me, in order to make you feel better about yourself, then go right ahead.

But not exclusively Christianity, right? I mean, one does not need be a Christian to have this 'personal relationship' that you speak of, am I right?

Can someone answer me these in simple terms?

Fair enough - this is your personal choice, and entirely entitled to it, sir.

    Yes...Jesus!

Up to you if you wish to answer them or not (or anyone). Won't be a bad week for me, if no one does, won't make my week great if someone does. And if you care to follow some of my posts in an unbiased manner, you would see that I always(try to) follow the rules of this forum, I rarely...

Can someone answer me these in simple terms?

Well, since I am not a rabidly ignorant fundie, you are asking the wrong person. However, since I have personally met many who believe Genesis is a literal sense, then it would probably follow that, yes, there are those who believe god had wings, as well. I personally believe he flew a plane - :D

Can someone answer me these in simple terms?

Are you sure? Look around. Are you still very confident that what you write is accurate..?

I have answered this before, for you. I am not 'anti' any religion, and I apply that in equal measure. I would afford the claims of the bible as much credibility as I would the books of Ron L Hubbard - not very much. I am perhaps fairer in my skepticism than many religionists actually...

Did you have a relationship with god, when you were a Muslim, or have you only enjoyed one since you (apparently) accepted Jesus as the 'saviour', etc?

So? What does that prove, other than the fact that you replaced one set of religous ideas with another set of religous ideas, both ideas originating from the same region of the world. This action has not brought you any closer to 'truth', in reality, all you have done is swap religions...

Really? Are you saying you may even support the right of Goblinists to have the ear lobe of a baby removed, as a homage to their Cosmic Goblin? You wouldn't see me as being insane, and the child as merely a victim of something v fecked up?
