What religion teaches the most hideous, and damnable false doctrines for worse than any pagan or heathen religion in the history of the world. What is your opinion??? before anyone if anyone ansewers I will give you mind. I don;t know. It seems like all the religions have good teachings. They also have bad ones. It seems to me that I just don't know enough about the world religions to make a decision. One teaches that the most loving and merciful God will send billions of His own creations (humans) whom He loves so much but yet he is going to barbaque you if you either don't believe in Him or if you die in sin. Another teaches that the Saviour never came and is waiting to come. Another believes Jesus was just a prophet, like many other and not the Son of God. No wonder some just say screw it I'll find out after I die. Either ther will be an after life or not, if not I will never know anyway.

Any idea developed into a religion will sooner or later be perverted to the advantage of people who could not give a flying fox about what it says. Religions by their intrinsic nature are corrupted very quickly. The only 'safe' religion to have is the one you think of for yourself and tell no one else about. If you want it to have any possibility of having any real meaning then it should make no claims and demand no sacrifices of any kind.

Having said that, it seems to me one of the underlying drives for those who feel the need to distance themselves from every religion is a validation for hedonism. Hedonism and self-control are polar opposites.
Of course, some expressions of religion carry self-control to a bit of extreme, IMO. It is said that some Baptists allow anything unless it makes you smile or laugh.

I am inclined to agree with wil. Those that teach that G-d only made them, and them alone, to be His select and only, and that everybody else by default has it all wrong and requires indoctrination in the "right" way.
From what I can tell, no one religion has it all correct...but neither are any completely incorrect. Each of the major faiths is a complete system for trying to understand something that is extremely difficult if not impossible to fully understand.
The one exception that comes to mind (maybe two) are the self-serving modern manufactured pseudo-religions designed primarily as money makers or self-gratification justifications: i.e. Satanism (whose name is more for shock value than actually worshipping the devil, it is primarily hedonism on steroids), and possibly $cientology.
Before I get slammed, this should not be interpreted as meaning I "hate" such folks; I don't. But I am free to think them misguided.

When you see people preaching on TV, and they start to look like cons and witches.
When you know the preacher has no mercy behind the smirk, fake tears or makeup. I read somewhere that this one American general never trusted people who he thought couldn`t cry.
There`s worse, but I don`t want to write about it in detail not that I know or have any evidence. I have a feeling some people specialize in abusing and making people incredibly mad to break spirits.
I thank God for not placing me around the worse situations, and that real cons small and big are never around me. It`d be a miserable, bloody and busy world for me if it wasn`t like that.
