What does it mean to be saved

Just a few short questions ...

What is salvation? What exactly are we being saved from? Also, when do we know that we are saved, or can we 'know' at all?

As God says in Isaiah 46:11, “‘I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed and I will do it.’” God will surely accomplish his purpose.

God could not leave us in such a state, for he created us as his children. Instead, He has been working for man’s salvation since the human fall in Genesis.

Then what is salvation? God’s salvation of man means God’s restoration of fallen and sinful man to his original state of goodness — to the position where we can fulfill the Purpose for which we were created..

Thus, God’s purpose in salvation is to restore an individual (Messiah) to the sinless state that God originally created, raise him to be an ideal individual, establish an ideal family centered on that individual, and the establishment of an ideal society, nation, and world, based on that ideal family.

This is what Jesus came to accomplish

the great day of JEHOVAH is near , and there is a hurrying of it very much.


so as Zepheniah 2;2-3 informs us ,SEEK SEEK AND SEEK and then we may be concealing ourselves




2 Before [the] statute gives birth to [anything], [before the] day has passed by just like chaff, before there comes upon YOU people the burning anger of Jehovah, before there comes upon YOU the day of Jehovah’s anger, 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.
As for Jehovah, he has looked down from heaven itself upon the sons of men,
To see whether there exists anyone having insight, anyone seeking Jehovah.​

Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. (or change of mind)

For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night.

My thoughts

To be filled with the love of G-d, and the fruits of His Spirit is my view of salvation. I believe that G-d wishes us to be happy, and joyful, etc. When we are filled with His spirit of [love], we reach a point where we are content, and living the abundant life Jesus promised to those who follow, and hear His voice. That is salvation/liberation ~ It is when we are free from the negatives that plague, and kill our joy [IMO] When we live to love, we slowly begin to let go of our anger, and jealousies, and envies, and hate, and resentments, and our bitterness, etc. I think to be saved is to be free from these negatives, and filled with the fruits of the spirit.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (Salvation)

To be born again thru faith, to pass on from death to life by grace, and to know your sins have been forgiven by a humble and repentive heart. you know you are saved when you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and give yourself completely to Jesus and let the Spirit in, and you work on pleasing and glorying God and honoring his Son by loving Him and others.

I just can not get pass this man's fallen state. What. So an all powerfull know it all god did not know that first man would fall and that he has been trying to get us back to the perfect man ever since he created us. Poor old god. just couldn't get it right the first time. Now he spend all his time fighting satan and trying to get it right. I mean here God creats man. man disobeys God and says hey I'm gonna do it my way. God just has no idea. He gets thrown for a loop. God creates the perfect angle. he decieds the same thing he is going to rebel against his maker and his maker god know nothing about this either. thrown for another loop. god who know everything didn't see this comming. Now for the topper god who knows the end form the beginning creates humans remember god knows veryhthing before it happens. god knowswhat we are going to think and do before we do it. But yet he creats humans giving them free will knowing most will chose their way instead of Gods way but yet he creats them anyway and is going to punnish them by sending them to hell where a loving and merciful god will torture and torment them forever. man I am glade that is not the god i worishp. My God would never create man so that they can burn in hell. My God knew excatly what adam and eve were going to do before they did it. My God created Satan not as a fallen angle but as the adversary to do Gods work. God created evil God can not be or do evil so He created the devil, Satan. Nothing or no one can suprise my God. no one can do anything that my God does not allowe. No one can go against My God intention for them. If one goes against Gods will it is because God allowes it. furthermore My God would not create a hell to torture man. My God will save everybody. God did not send His Son Jesus to died for a fews people. He sent His Son to die for everyperson's sin so that we all will be save. That is the powerfull loving and mercifull God I worship and love.

namaste all,

imo we are saved when we free ourselves from negative thought and materialism for materialism's sake and become emersed in spirit. Put the mind of Christ in you...
 
Learning the truth about Jehovah and his purpose is a first step toward salvation
